3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at the brewpub. Flowery aroma over typical malt-forwardness. Strong mineral bitterness, just a spoonful out of balance. Still super drinkable, but that palate gives a little malus.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Tap at the brewery. Served from a stone mug. Golden-ish color with small white head. Aroma is earthy, bready. Taste is earthy, bitter, grainy, bready. Natural carbonation. An umcompromising Pils, I have to say, and uncommon for Franconia, where most beers focus on drinkability.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Where and how: Bottle in Bamberg
Aroma: typical of German Pilsner. Neat Noble hop character, semi dry. Clean work with fresh feel to it. Solid 7 plus.
Top: pours with large cap, long lived. Thick creamy texture that left neat lace on glass.
Base: cleat bottom of gold colour.
Palate : delicate, soft mid bodied lager. Delicate carbonation. Average finish.
Taste: mature old school work. Very traditional, close to stylistically benchmark. Not overly complex yet all parts work together here in harmony. On top of that this Pils is easy going, with highly quaffable qualities.
other notes classic!
