Dark, dark brown with a ruby highlight. Rich chocolate aroma with a touch of caramel. Taste falls nothing short of a sweet, chocolate bliss. Slight roast, very, very slight. Serves to dry out and balance the sweet malts. A wonderful Schwarzbier.

Bottle bought in Bamberg, dark red-black with a thick beige head, cocoa and a little port wine on the nose, more cocoa plus toasty malt and burnt barley on the palate. Fairly dry. An interesting take on Schwarzbier.
