Bottle. Pours black with a nice head. Aroma burnt malts. Taste malty, sweet. Medium palate. Not Bad. ladnewton (1964) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 30, 2011
LIVE RATING: 500ml bottle at home, gift from friend. Pours deep brown with a handsome pale brown head that disappears with only a little lace. Rich malt and grain in aroma. Then rich blend of malts, oats, herbs, smoky touches and some berry sweetness harmonise in-the-mouth to give a not-too-sweet blend - aftertaste is somewhat drier, and a zingy mouthfeel is afforded by the medium-bodied liquid. Very pleasant, would make a good ’finisher’ pint. Adenila (1560) - DENMARK - SEP 29, 2011
Clear dark brown with a small baige head. Aroma is toasted malt with a little sweet caramel. Refreshing well carbonated palate, roasted bitterness and a light caramel sweetness.
Swing-top bottle best by 02.03.12. Nose is sweet with caramel, brown sugar, and nuts. Roast is mild. Dark brown/black with a light brown, rocky head. Taste is dryish with mild fruitiness and a little lovely ashy mocha that intensifies to medium by the end, into the roasty aftertaste. Thin light body with lightly earthy chocolate and mild coffee touches, though a little more toward the end. Airy and delicate, definitely enjoyable but not in line with my image of a Schwarzbier.

Bottle. Dark brown small head. Roasted malty caramel aromas. Dry with pronounced bitterness. Well balanced even some sweetness very nice brew compared to the price. Ragnampiza (751) - Rome / Lecce, ITALY - AUG 17, 2011
50 cl bottle from "Il Regno di Gambrinus". Served into an english half pint glass. Pours a clear dark ruby red/brown with an off white non-persistent head. Averace lacing. Aroma of toasted malt, herbs hops, some light chocolate and caramel. Same taste with an herbal and toasted aftertaste. Good carbonation, watery texture. Not my favourite Schwarz but still very refreshing and easy to drink. Cuso (8690) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - AUG 1, 2011
On tap at brewery. Almost black color with huge white head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malt, chocolate. Taste, starts sweet with milk chocolate, continues wit caramel and milk coffee and ends up with strong coffee bitter finish. Nice.

courtesy of fiulijn - pours a clear dark ruby-brown beer with a moderate foam left; aroma of toffees with hints of biscuit; medium-bodied and pretty sweet; slightly dry aftertaste of toffees - quite modest and more a dunkel than a schwarzbier fiulijn (20515) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 26, 2011

Very dark mahogany color, almost black. Both the aroma and flavor present caramel and chocolate, that seems to be heavily oxidised; there is some sweetness in the front, while it’s dier in the end, with also a bit of roasted malts. Unexciting.

Dark mahogany color; generous head. Nice delicate aroma of roasted malt. Malty flavor, sweetish, with a round mouthfeel, and a good chocolate and coffee component, delicate; the bitterness is quite low, although in the end the coffeish touch is more evident. Very good Schwarz.
