Bottle. Brown, clear. Dark bready malts, lager notes. Some light metallic, roasted malts, woody notes and tar-y things. A dark lager pretty much, with some tarry jerky. Body is good medium light. Smooth. Tasty for a dark lager, with the slight tar, oaky, notes. A bit light, but ok. harrisoni (18577) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - APR 26, 2013

Bottle bought in Bamberg, dark red-black with a thick beige head, cocoa and a little port wine on the nose, more cocoa plus toasty malt and burnt barley on the palate. Fairly dry. An interesting take on Schwarzbier.
