3.3
MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 27, 2008
A Mes rate: Gravity serving at Zeitgeist.
Very dark cloudy brown with a thin off white head. Grainy aroma, slightly sour with some spice and toffee. Lemony sourness in the flavour, tangy malt. Ok but not amazing.

Beershine (5253) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 21, 2009
Draft at the brewery. Black, pretty much opaque with a slight red tint. Fizzy but lasting beige head and no lacing. The slightest hint of diacetyl is here, strange! Wet grain aromas. Brisk carbonation is light and refreshing. Nice toastiness and burnt qualities. The sourness is strange but falls just short of being offensive.

bobinlondon (1297) - Harrow, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 30, 2009
Gravity at Zeitgeist Bier Mania Oktoberfest 08. Deep ruby black with a dense beige head. Roasty and chocolatey with smooth carbonation. Hops are slightly tinny. Not so rounded for a German beer but far more interesting than most.

jbrus (4988) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - OCT 12, 2001
UPDATED: MAY 1, 2005 Light roasted and hints of chocolat but also some vegetable in the aroma. Very dark brown almost black color, light brown head, good lace. Light sweet, roasted especially towards the finish, bitter, chocolat, medium body.

Dark brown-black. Earthy, dry & bitter. Good, but still not one of the Bamberg beers. Alcohol is 4.9%

(draught, at the Gaststätte Klosterbräu, Bamberg) pours a dark ruby colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of roasted malts, light herbal hops and butter. flavour of grainy roasted malts, with strong coffee and light butter notes. medium body and carbonation, light roasted-bitter finish.

Nordcore (1698) - Lyngen alps, NORWAY - JUL 11, 2009
Bottle 50cl. in Bamberg. Apperance; almost black with some redish, a big lightbrown head. Aroma; sweet malt, some dark fruits, plumb. Flavor; again some darkfruits, sweet but also sence of smoke.

3.2
Vladivostok (491) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAY 3, 2011
A very dark and roasty porter-like beer with a frothy head. I didn’t find another like it in Bamburg, although didn’t try all the brewers’ offerings by any means. Clear as far as I could tell and only lightly carbonated.

3.2
Japalo (1887) - DENMARK - AUG 22, 2011
Bottle. Dark brown small head. Roasted malty  caramel aromas.  Dry with pronounced bitterness.  Well balanced even some sweetness  very nice brew compared to the price.
