330ml bottle @ Kahler restaurant, Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen (serves excellent smorrebrod). This one reminded me more of a Belgian tripel rather than BdG. It has sweet honey grainy malts up front with peppery spices, orange peel and alcoholic burn. Medium-full body with an oily texture. Lacks the farmyard elements I usually associate with the style but still decent.

Clear scent of citrus and especially orange. A bit of sweetness from the malt. Hazy amber with long lasting head. Strangely sweet spicy taste with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. Don’t drink it just enjoy the aroma. Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - SEP 13, 2012

Post Borefts I Invasion of Fonefan and Charlottes room tasting! Clear gold beer. Crisp dry lagerish malt. Elevated from the crushingly average by a little fruit and well hidden alcohol. Dry finish.
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden amber with a creamy beige head. Decent lacing. Sweet and a bit tart aroma with malt, dark fruits and an alcohol overtone. Notes of wood as it warms. Flavour is rather sweet and dusty, with malt, dark fruits, wood and alcohol. Sweet and bitter finish with a liquorice touch. Lingering mild alcohol burn, which combined with the sweetness takes on a port wine-likeness as it warms. Overall an okay beer, and the high alcohol % is well-balanced. But also a bit cloying and too dusty. 27.04.12.
