Bottle 500ml @ yngwieyngwie (17053) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 24, 2011
Pours clear golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, herbs and floral grassy hops. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a dry grassy finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle. An unclear, dark golden beer with a small, off-white head leaving some lacings. Grassy, flowery hops on the nose, malty too. Some orange in the flavor, which is like the aroma a bit too weak. Pale malts, sweetness, some flowers and grassy hops, and a little bitterness too. Medium body, smooth. Flowery finish, elderflowers I think. More of a thirst quencher than a beer to thoroughly enjoy. Might deserve a higher rating too, but 2.9 is where I ended up. 110524 Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - APR 20, 2011
It’s hazy, dark orange with a small, creamy head. The aroma has notes of elderflower, caramel and light yeast. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of caramel, elderflower, yeast, and it has a very strong note of elderflower in the dry finish – a rather refreshing beer. 500 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård. ABV is 5.2%. Some sediment in the bottle. Deep golden to orange colour, hazy when the yeast is poured in. Large cream-coloured head. Nice aroma of fruity and resinous hops, hints of elderflowers and caramel. The flavour is medium sweet and fairly refreshing, some caramel and hints of orange marmalade, moderate resinous hops, hints of elderflowers. Decent beer. At Kolding Ølmesse. Cloudy golden with a small white head. Fruity aroma with a touch of banana, and floral notes. Sweet malty flavour again with a fruity touch
