Fine spiced and sweet belgian style. Well balanced and good body and volume.

Stor fylde og sødme der smager af karamel. En ikke alt for spændende øl, men ok.

Gog og behagelig belgisk ale. Frisk smag, men måtte gerne være mere bitter. Flot udseende

Bottle @ parents. Appearance: pours clear red-brown with powerful beige head and lacing. aroma/taste: brown sugar, raisins, liquorice, light chocolate and spices. palette: medium yeasty and roasted malty aroma, average carbonation, medium to full body, medium to notable sugar sweetness, somewhat balanced by a medium bitterness, medium duration and an oily texture. Overall: nice roasted Belgian ale.

Big beige head. Clear deep dark red body with fast carbonation. Syrupy spicy aroma with cocos notes, kind of faint. Sweetish fruity roasty taste with mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish, and faintly acidic, earthy fruity aftertaste with chalky notes. Drainpour. It’s not totally spoiled, but not good enough to drink the whole bottle. (0.5l bottle, I don’t know where from. Best before is in 2017.)

It is an almost perfect pouring beer into a glass. Large creamy foam rises nice. Beautiful maroon color how many yeast residues floating around, then pour carefully if you want to avoid them. The aroma is subtle and reveals little cranberry on a slight malty background. It tastes very malty hard roasted malt and not so much of cranberry as expected. The brewery calls it simply a dark ale. Dark ale is a broad concept, but it has some similarities with a bock. It is a beer that is neither nor.

Bottle. Pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, fruitiness and brown sugar. Flavor is sweet and malty with some nuts, caramel, fruitiness and brown sugar. Medium body, soft carbonation.

MotherBrother (945) - Aalborg, DENMARK - JUN 3, 2014
Pour dark brown, with a small creamy light tan head. Aroma of banana, nuts, "almond skin", caramel, burnt sugar, dark fruits, cucumber/green vegetables. Some weird metallic and somewhat mouthdrying aftertaste. Taste is sweet up front, with a heavy dose of bitterness from the mid out. Medium bodied, with a semi-flat carbonation.
