Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and light pine aroma with light yeast. Grapefruit and pine flavor with light yeast. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine lingers with light yeast and light malt. carboloader (674) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAR 26, 2014
From bottle in San Diego. This is a big beer. The Belgian yeast flavors are muted, which is great for me, and the rest is all sorts of pine, citrus, herbs. Sticky oily. A bit too sweet but excellent job for a 9% DIPA. cernjoh (183) - Ohio, USA - MAR 21, 2014
Nice grassy aroma with a deep clear golden color and a small light beige head. Taste is semi sweet grassy pine goodness. Palate is slightly viscous and goes down smooth. A great brew I highly recommend. fitwitchik (433) - Ohio, USA - MAR 21, 2014
Poured from a bomber into a pint glass a dark golden with a light tan head that laced down the side of the glass rather quickly.
Aroma is slight banana Belgium funk but a ton of lemony pine hop. Flavor is a sweet funky hop that overall was totally better than anticipated. Balanced. Would easily consume another bottle. Pailhead (6539) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - MAR 15, 2014
Bottle: The aroma consists of tropical fruits, pineapple, candi sugar, and citrus/grapefruit. It pours a transparent golden-orange with a small soapy off-white head. There’s a good amount of thin webbing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with tropical fruits, faint banana, and candi sugar. The finish has moderate spice, grapefruit, and a hint of lemon peel. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation.

On tap at Monkey Paw Brewpub. Hazy golden appearance with a decent sized off-white head. Aroma is of heavy citrus, some pineapple, light grass, and sweet sugary notes. Taste is of grapefruit, some tropical fruit, and light pine. Bule (2137) - California, USA - FEB 13, 2014
On tap at Taps in Petaluma. Pours an amber color with a bit of head. Intense hopiness and the belgian yeast flavor is overpowered.

Bomber purchased at BevMo in Escondido ($6.99). Pours a hazy golden-orange hue with one finger of white foam. AROMA of loquat, apricot, nectarine, citrus spicy hops, and white wine. FLAVOR with lots of fruit (tangerine, grapefruit, red grape, apricots, peaches), pine needles, and herbal and spicy hops, with a bit of bready malts. Nice mixture of traditional DIPA flavors with some extra interesting fruitiness from the Belgian yeast fermentation. Still finishes fairly bitter. The high ABV is fairly well concealed. A pretty good effort on a "style" that is hard to do. (28, 840) John25 (1291) - Middletown, New Jersey, USA - JAN 27, 2014
Light copper, orange hues. The aroma is floral, tangerine, and sweet. Wow, great sharp taste with some funk mixed in perfectly. Dank, resinous, sticky palate with medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is the standout characteristic. Great job Knee Deep!
