Draft. Mango and pine aroma, with a mild bitter taste with a long finish. Aroma is great didn’t really pick up the Belgian yeast. I very much enjoyed this twist on the Hoptologist. Zymurgeist2 (2385) - Redwood City, California, USA - APR 12, 2014
Has been a couple of years since the Belgian IPA craze. Combination of pine, slight citrus and yeasty bread. Clear copper with a white head. Citrus more present on the flavor. Yeast well represented. Moderate high bittering. A little in unbalanced. scottypostal (5) - Grass Valley, California, USA - APR 11, 2014 does not count
Average white diminishing head. Good lacing. Hazy orange. Heavy Grapefruit pine aroma, with a little of the belgian yeast mixed in. Full thick alcoholic feel. Long lasting flavor, a little bitter. Can feel the alcohol hanging around. Nice ale for gentle spring day. bb (9789) - Alamo, California, USA - MAR 29, 2014
Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and light pine aroma with light yeast. Grapefruit and pine flavor with light yeast. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine lingers with light yeast and light malt. carboloader (674) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAR 26, 2014
From bottle in San Diego. This is a big beer. The Belgian yeast flavors are muted, which is great for me, and the rest is all sorts of pine, citrus, herbs. Sticky oily. A bit too sweet but excellent job for a 9% DIPA.

Nice grassy aroma with a deep clear golden color and a small light beige head. Taste is semi sweet grassy pine goodness. Palate is slightly viscous and goes down smooth. A great brew I highly recommend. fitwitchik (433) - Ohio, USA - MAR 21, 2014
Poured from a bomber into a pint glass a dark golden with a light tan head that laced down the side of the glass rather quickly. Pailhead (6543) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - MAR 15, 2014
Aroma is slight banana Belgium funk but a ton of lemony pine hop. Flavor is a sweet funky hop that overall was totally better than anticipated. Balanced. Would easily consume another bottle.
Bottle: The aroma consists of tropical fruits, pineapple, candi sugar, and citrus/grapefruit. It pours a transparent golden-orange with a small soapy off-white head. There’s a good amount of thin webbing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with tropical fruits, faint banana, and candi sugar. The finish has moderate spice, grapefruit, and a hint of lemon peel. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation. jkwalking05 (4745) - Arlington, Texas, USA - FEB 26, 2014
On tap at Monkey Paw Brewpub. Hazy golden appearance with a decent sized off-white head. Aroma is of heavy citrus, some pineapple, light grass, and sweet sugary notes. Taste is of grapefruit, some tropical fruit, and light pine. Bule (2274) - California, USA - FEB 13, 2014
On tap at Taps in Petaluma. Pours an amber color with a bit of head. Intense hopiness and the belgian yeast flavor is overpowered.
