Golden orange with lacy white head... Light citrusy aroma with Belgian yeast... Flavor is citrus hops up front, with the Belgian yeast finish on the palate... Great version of the style... Might be my favorite actually jazz88 (2683) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUN 23, 2013
Bottle. A dark golden color with a white head. An intense dry pine aroma and finishes with a touch of Belgian sweet candy aromas. Rough, dry, bitter and intensely hopped on the palate. What’s not to like. Dorwart (2607) - Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA - APR 19, 2015
Decent sized offwhite head of fine bubbles. Moderate carbonation. Interesting aroma with some buttered rolls, grass, bologna and citrusy hops. Color is a hazy dark orange. Very sprucy and piney flavor and very dry. Almost chalky mouthfeel. Bitter Salad greens, roasted squash and some charred grains. Strong alcohol presence and warming. This brew just has some strange flavors that are all over the place. Finishes hot and buttery. Not what i was expecting and not a big fan. tmongoose (2504) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAY 21, 2014
bomber shared. poured a medium orange color with white head. plenty of pine and then some citrus on the nose. medium malt backbone with plenty of pinieness on the tongue. not overpowering. appeared to be nicely balanced. overall good dipa. alcohol well hidden. Has been a couple of years since the Belgian IPA craze. Combination of pine, slight citrus and yeasty bread. Clear copper with a white head. Citrus more present on the flavor. Yeast well represented. Moderate high bittering. A little in unbalanced.

On tap at Taps in Petaluma. Pours an amber color with a bit of head. Intense hopiness and the belgian yeast flavor is overpowered.

Bottle. Light copper with a quickly dissipating off white head. Aroma is grassy, floral, fruity and slight barnyard funk. Taste follows suit but focuses more on fruit. Very delicate palate with just enough sharp carbonation to balance the mouthfeel. Really well made. wchesser (2121) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 26, 2014
In a trade-thanks, Roy! Slightly cloudy copper. Malty, caramel nose, don’t get a lot of hops or belgian yeast notes. Malty, slightly dank IPA, but prefer this to the original based on memory. No Simtra but a solid DIPA. skoisirius (1909) - Earth, Washington, USA - MAY 30, 2014
Really nice Belgiany DIPA here from Knee Deep. Elements of the OG brew with a nice floral tropical hop note, hints of straw and grass, and a big sweet malt front. The Belgian yeast adds a lovely layer of complexity fruiting the beer our even further. Good stuff! skmikeg (1826) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 28, 2013
Pours a copper orange with a two finger off white head with excellent lacing. Aroma is of belgian yeast, citrus, pine, sweet malts, banana, pepper and cloves, spicy hops, and candied fruits. Taste is about the same as the aroma but as the light boozy notes which detracts from the beer. Has a medium body with a slightly watery mouthfeel and a dry, moderately bitter, slightly boozy, medium finish. Overall, a pretty good belgian DIPA that could do without some of its boozy notes.
