From bottle in San Diego. This is a big beer. The Belgian yeast flavors are muted, which is great for me, and the rest is all sorts of pine, citrus, herbs. Sticky oily. A bit too sweet but excellent job for a 9% DIPA. Rangi (671) - NEW ZEALAND - FEB 6, 2016
Nice well made beer. Golden poor. Nice white head that disappears shortly after poor. Big fruity ale. Smooth and clean. Nice easy drinking ipa dhunter151 (590) - Santa Rosa, California, USA - JUN 23, 2013
Pours amber with a white head. This is the best Belgian IPA I've ever had. The Belgian yeast flavor was there but not dominating. Citrus, Belgian yeast, fruity, grapefruit.

The spicy aroma dominates the pour and comes at me like a shelter puppy lookin’ for a new home. A soft, white, half-inch head tops the amber brew and lifts the scent of caramel and heavily spiced banana out of the glass with a vengeance.
The lacing is thick and persistent on the glass, coating the sides and drying sticky in minutes. The taste is heavy, but the palate almost light and a little sticky, as if the two were wrestling to dominate the beer. Instead, the fight balances the adventure.
Very bitter, but not unpleasant, very spicy and almost peppery with a perfect amount of carbonation that persists through the bottle. A long bitter finish for a brew with flavors like this almost always bring me around to thoughts of more, and this brew does not disappoint. I’m glad I have a bomber...one more glass....why wouldn’t I? fitwitchik (433) - Ohio, USA - MAR 21, 2014
Poured from a bomber into a pint glass a dark golden with a light tan head that laced down the side of the glass rather quickly.
Aroma is slight banana Belgium funk but a ton of lemony pine hop. Flavor is a sweet funky hop that overall was totally better than anticipated. Balanced. Would easily consume another bottle.

Draft. Mango and pine aroma, with a mild bitter taste with a long finish. Aroma is great didn’t really pick up the Belgian yeast. I very much enjoyed this twist on the Hoptologist. badpuppy69 (327) - orange, California, USA - JUL 24, 2013
Pours a hazy copper brownish color lingering thin creamy head. aroma is Belgium yeast upfront and citrucy spicy notes with mild roasted malt. Taste follows the aroma with some lingering hop bitterness on the backend. Im not a Belgium yeast fan but this is very good. coreyc1221 (319) - Truckee, California, USA - MAY 13, 2013
Fruity Aroma! Amber, but clear body. White head and ..boom!..vanished. Tastes like hops. who would have guessed. Definitely a double. kespecial (255) - - MAR 18, 2015
A big beer in many senses: boozy and strong flavors. Pours light orange. Nose is Belgian yeast, earthy hops. Taste is pretty sweet, some bubblegum, apricot, balanced with lots of nice bitter hops for a dry finish. The alcohol comes through, in a pleasant way. Solid tripel/DIPA blend. nellycale (213) - Caledonia, Minnesota, USA - AUG 19, 2013
On tap at Capitol Beer abd Taproom. Pours a very light orange /copper hue with aids white head with great lacing. Aroma is belgian yeast, citrus, pine, sweet malts, banana, pepper and cloves, spicy hops, and candied fruits. Taste is about the same with some boozy notes. Medium body with a slightly watery mouthfeel and a dry, moderately bitter, slightly boozy, medium finish. Quality belgian DIPA but a bit strong
