In a trade-thanks, Roy! Slightly cloudy copper. Malty, caramel nose, don’t get a lot of hops or belgian yeast notes. Malty, slightly dank IPA, but prefer this to the original based on memory. No Simtra but a solid DIPA. Habanero (4642) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK, DENMARK - AUG 13, 2014
Bottled. Pours amber with an average, white head. Aroma of yeast, caramel, citrus fruits, especially grapefruit. Sweet flavor that ends up dry an solid bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice DIPA. Tmoney99 (14377) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 24, 2015
Bottle. Poured hazy copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy earthy hop and yeast aroma. Medium to full body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy smooth bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer. kespecial (249) - - MAR 18, 2015
A big beer in many senses: boozy and strong flavors. Pours light orange. Nose is Belgian yeast, earthy hops. Taste is pretty sweet, some bubblegum, apricot, balanced with lots of nice bitter hops for a dry finish. The alcohol comes through, in a pleasant way. Solid tripel/DIPA blend. Bomber poured a hazy tarnished gold with a small lasting creamy off white head. Aromas of straw, lemon zest, yeast and grapefruit. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, yeast, grapefruit and light lemon zest with a smooth dry bitter lingering grapefruit finish.

On tap at Taps in Petaluma. Pours an amber color with a bit of head. Intense hopiness and the belgian yeast flavor is overpowered.

On tap at Monkey Paw Brewpub. Hazy golden appearance with a decent sized off-white head. Aroma is of heavy citrus, some pineapple, light grass, and sweet sugary notes. Taste is of grapefruit, some tropical fruit, and light pine. Pailhead (6539) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - MAR 15, 2014
Bottle: The aroma consists of tropical fruits, pineapple, candi sugar, and citrus/grapefruit. It pours a transparent golden-orange with a small soapy off-white head. There’s a good amount of thin webbing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with tropical fruits, faint banana, and candi sugar. The finish has moderate spice, grapefruit, and a hint of lemon peel. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation. Iphonephan (6953) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - SEP 2, 2014
From a 22 oz bottle shared in Avon NC. Pours a clear copper with an off white head. Aroma of pine. Flavors of orange and spruce resin. Malty backbone. Bitter fiinish. NachlamSie (3467) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 28, 2014
Bomber bottled in June 2014 shared by this one guy. Pours a really cloudy light orange with a tall and dense white head. The aroma is packing a decent hop bouquet with fruity esters and a hefty malt base. Notes of lozenges jump out with cheesy undertones and pine. The flavor packs some well defined pine character which makes me think the cheesy notes aren’t stale hops, but a related to the yeast. It isn’t unpleasant at all. The finish is strongly bitter, the 102 ibu claim seems almost reasonable. Strong notes of lemon are present throughout.
