22oz bomber pours with a near clear gold body that supports a light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up mango, cantaloupe, thin spicy hops, booze, and little else. The taste delivers mango, cantaloupe, ripe clementine and tangelo as well as orange flavored gummy bears. Wow. For such a huge beer this maintains a pleasing level of finesse. Nice. The massive abv is pretty well hidden.

Ive never met the Jerry posted on the bottle, I assume hes tasted something almost as bitter as this; but this... is a Leviathan. Excellent in every sense of the word. I fell madly in love with it as soon as it passed my throat. I really enjoyed its hops as well as its malts. Ausguschnet.

10oz draft pour at Lost Dog - Alexandria. Poured a clear, golden copper color with a small white head. Aroma was lots of pine resin notes, sweet caramel notes. Light candi. Flavor was caramel malts, juicy, hoppy. Alcohol is very well hidden.

These are always hard for me to rate. I appreciate going for it, but these styles are difficult to assess. Its big and fairly boozy and bitter and resiny. Not bad, but tough to drink more than a taste.

A light haze. A mellow amber colour. Not much head. Hops are basic, indistinct, with a slight melon character. Sweet and a bit boozy, with orangey sweet character. The alcohol is actually masked quite a bit by the hop, which has a fairly sweet overlay.

Tasting at Matts
Golden color, clean. Deep hop aroma, very resiny, a bit of manure. Lean, just lightly sweet, good crackery malts, and a load of resiny hops, citrusy too.
For such a strong beer, its extremely well balanced and drinkable. Excellent.

22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of resinous hops, some candied sugar, and bready caramel malts. Flavour brings out lots of resinous hops, a touch of candied sugar, and caramel malt. Impressively well-balanced for a 13+% IIIIPA. Excellent.

Bottle - Pithy citrus oily notes, touch of dank. Clearish gold with a decent white head. Sweet, orange and sweet oily notes. Nice and no booze.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 12/2/2015. Pours crystal clear deep golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, apricot, peach, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, cracker, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, apricot, peach, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, cracker, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, apricot, peach, mango, melon, lemon/orange rind, pine, honey, cracker, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, sticky/resinous, fairly grainy/creamy, and slightly slick balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding big imperial IPA! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to sip on for the huge ABV. This was impressively dry and well attenuated on the malt sweetness for the 13.1% ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

On tap at IBU Pub in Hillsdale, OR. Clear orange with a small white head and some lacing. Aroma is just nice and hoppy big with citrus. Taste is orange, powerful, hoppy and wonderful with a citrus punch and bitter finish. Full-bodied and boozy on the finish.
