Bomber bottle. Pours hazy orange, stiff white head. Slight hop aroma, taste is bitter and sweet, slightly cloying sweet finish. More a barleywine than a TIPA. CaraCurtis (117) - Nevada, USA - DEC 9, 2013
This bottle has been sitting a bit. I would have preferred trying it fresh. I have been pretty impressed by most of what Knew Deep is doing. This aroma is heavy. This lacing is a bit sticky. It does not taste as boozy as it is set out to be. The pour is an amber-more orange in color. There is a slight head that holds to the circumference only. A lot of pine and citrus to the aroma. There is bitterness and sweet hints with a definite citrus appeal. GG (2332) - NorCal, California, USA - NOV 20, 2013

It’s been awhile since I’ve indulged in a triple IPA, and even longer when it was one worth noticing. A splendid job by Knee Deep with this one, because it could have easily been a train wreck like many 3xIPA’s. A huge aroma of pine and citrus, subtle herb/mint-like with just a bit of breadyness. The palate explodes with waves of hops. Tangerine zest, enamel melting grapefruit rind, some pine notes and no where is there much malt to pick up. Aggressively hopped, minimal malt profile...very nice. brystmar (1314) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 8, 2013
Hops are unrefined, lacks the clarity and vision shown by the better brewers. Sweet malt, piney, meh. Vaiz (4460) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - OCT 16, 2013
Bottle from city beer, San Francisco. Clear golden pour. Aroma is full of hops, a hint of chemicals and murky, but mostly fruity hops with resin. Flavor is quite strong hops, bitter and slightly chemical resin and a bit buttery diacetyl. Messy.

Bottled two weeks ago. Supposedly the hops are insane. Aroma is huge bready caramel, candy like, cookies and fruity hops. Flavour is huge hop bitterness, again with bready cookie malt. Extreme but Nice. el_guapo (28) - California, USA - SEP 30, 2013
On tap at the new facility in Auburn, Ca. Super piny blast. Did not notice the high abv, I think it was covered by the hops, but it did not taste hot at all. Bought a growler for good measure, love Knee Deep! dresden (1581) - Saskatchewan, CANADA - SEP 27, 2013
Pours a nice clear golden orange with a great lasting foamy head. Aroma is piney, citrus hops. Taste is grapefruity hops, but a very very sweet malt backbone...a bit too much for me. It’s nice, but I much preferred simtra. dmac (6646) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - SEP 17, 2013
Bottle shared by Ed5388 during Belgian Pumpkin brew day. Poured an ugly muddy swampy light brown with a smaller soapy light beige head. Aroma of old hops, hint of cardboard, caramel, toffee, molasses, earthy citrus and grapefruit rind. Medium body with average carbonation that has a lingering aftertaste and some light alcohol heat that slowly builds. Flavor of grapefruit, citrus rind, caramel, dry brown toffee and bread. drfabulous (9103) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - SEP 9, 2013
22 ounce from Jungle Jim’s. April bottling date! I need to be more careful since I know how bad Jungle Jim’s can be. And Knee Deep should reconsider some markets they are in if they can’t sell well there - split Ohio and come to Kentucky. Still, citrus and orange. Nice bitter taste. Still decent at this age. I can’t imagine how nice it must be fresh.
