clear golden yellow gentle fluffy white head. lots of grapefruit. thick sap, bitter prickly end but not so long. bit disappointing really. alexsdad06 (10482) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - AUG 24, 2013
22 oz. bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a dark golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have quite a bit of pine and citrus up front and through to the finish. Some additional earthy notes, caramel, toasted, and dry grass. The alcohol is present and further serves to dry this out. Good, but the citra is much better. 22oz bomber. Pours a hazy dirty copper color with a finger of somewhat fizzy white head. Aroma of expired IPA, sweet caramel malt, some grapefruit, and pine. Taste was much better. Lighter on the caramel malt, but lots of bitterness. Big grapefruit, citrus, and sticky pine.

22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a medium off-white head. Aroma of piney hops, a little buttery hops, and a slight fruitiness. Flavour is very sharp, full of soapy floral hops, a little dry pine, and dry biscuity malt. This is quite sharp and astringent, finishing on harsh soapy floral hops. Super dry and quite drinkable. Very solid IPA. zsb19 (168) - Cincinnati, Kentucky, USA - JUL 30, 2013
Pours hazy deep golden with thin white head. Aroma is crisp hoppy resinous citrus and some sweet malty notes. Taste is dank grassy hops upfront with some malty sweetness on the follow through. Aftertaste is lingering bitter resinous pine/spruce hops. Palate is somewhat thin and sticky. Overall a pretty solid double IPA with good balance and plenty of hoppy flavor. Clear amber color, moderate head, decent retention. Aroma is resiny with strong citrus notes. Some grapefruit, caramel, light alcohol as well. Medium bodied, alcohol hidden well, quite drinkable for its size. Good stuff. gmb5127 (234) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 10, 2013
Has a strong very hoppy aroma. The taste is extremely bitter and hoppy yet relatively smooth. Definitely drinkable. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 19, 2013
In short: A brutal palate destroyer. Meh.
How: Bottle 22oz, consumed fresh a few weeks after purchase.
The look: Clear golden body topped by a medium off-white head with medium retention and leaving lots of lacings on the glass.
In long: Nose is brutally piney pushed forward by alcohol fumes. Taste has the expected caramelized and honeyed cereals. Then piney hops, more piney hops and then some more. Maybe a little floral edge too, but mostly piney. Moderately resinous. Some alcohol heat noticeable a bit less than expected for a beer this size. Sweetness sensation is very much kept in check because of the bitterness and mouth-drying astringency. Annoyingly astringent with the alcohol sucking the mouth dry although there is not too much of an alcohol flavor. Full body with medium carbonation. Really aggressive, the first glass was kind of ok but the second half of the bottle became a chore to drink, this yet another brutal palate destroyer. This is something that can do well in a tasting, but don’t drink IPAs 4oz at a time. Calling a beer Hop Shortage and make it bitter as hell is almost as ironic as going to the beach to strangle a lifesaver.
