On tap at the new facility in Auburn, Ca. Super piny blast. Did not notice the high abv, I think it was covered by the hops, but it did not taste hot at all. Bought a growler for good measure, love Knee Deep!

Darker golden, still very clear. Not much foam but still a decent amount of it. Aroma is really faint, surprisingly so, but is getting more rich when the beer warms. Just a bit of resins odor, sweet berry and banana. Taste does not let me down. Full on hop bitterness, but the balance is good. This beer is highly drinkable and does not feel heavy at all. Maybe dense but well thats normal for such a strong triple IPA. Superb.

Tap at Fujiyama. Malty, fruity nose, crazy peaches and citrus, biscuits. Oranges, nice sweetness, great fruit flavors all the way and not too sweet. Dangerous.

Light amber golden color. Brandy oranges tangerines with some cracker malt. Big hop assault light body, for 11.3% it drinks so easily. A bit yeasty. But superbly put together. Not overly bitter. Excellent. So fucking good

Aromas of fresh pineapple, mango, lemon, lemon peel, grapefruit, honey, tropical fruits, butterscotch, crystallized sugars, crisp caramel and dry malt extract. Pours a golden copper with a thin tan foam and hop oils rising atop. Taste immediately brings a distinctively assertive hop profile. Remarkably fresh hop notes offering fresh pineapple, lemon, juicy grapefruit, mango, apricot and tropical fruits. More subtle notes of honey, sweet caramel, crystallized sugars, vanilla and candied caramel. Finishes with residual hop oils, subtle resin, candied fruits and more pineapple. Overall, I feel this is a massive achievement in the Triple IPA category. Theres plenty of hoppiness to it yet, there is a distinct, crisp sugar lining to the hops and fruits they offer, A+ rating.

UPDATED: APR 9, 2016 22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly crystal clear golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, light caramel, biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of juicy citrus/pine hops and moderate bready malt sweetness; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, light caramel, biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon/orange rind, pine, honey, biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/pine hops and moderate bready malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and fairly creamy/grainy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a small warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an excellent big imperial IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/pine hops and moderate bready malt sweetness; and very smooth and easy to sip on for the huge ABV. This was well attenuated on the malt sweetness for the ABV as well. A very enjoyable offering.

650ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, yellow-ish golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Piney and citrusy, hoppy aroma, notes of lemon and pineapple, malty basis has notes of almond . Taste is bitter hoppy, piney, notes of pineapple and lemon on almond malty basis. Heavy and overhopped beyond sensible impact, dense and constricted.

Wow, so smooth. A triple ipa? Easy drinking. Aroma is heavy with pineapple. I was told its grapefruit and pine, thats the taste. ..not the scent. Scent is completely pineapple and hops. Amazing. Taste is deeply better grapefruit casing, not juice, no sugars. There is pine but it isnt overt, more subdued by hops and the citrus tastes and scents. Light golden hue and clear. Would want on my shelf. Tap

Bottle. Pours out a mostly clear golden color with a small white head. Aroma is of astringent hop oils, sweet/bitter fruit, Pine sap, some floral notes, and alcohol burn. Taste is a sharp dose of acidic, piney, resin hops, lots of bitterness, some light tangerine, evergreen, some mild sweet malt, and a moderate alcohol note. This is a big, bitter beer.

On tap at Capones. Poured a golden color with a small sized head. Citrus and pine. Nice and hoppy with the alcohol content well hidden.

650 ml bottle purchased at Redstone Liquors, Andover location. Nose is much like the Lupulin River, big pine with light traces of fruit. This has a some dankness that I didnt find in Lupulin River.

The texture on this has some hop oils with a slick texture over the tongue. The booze shows itself and it makes itself known. Which is why I prefer Lupulin River much more. Booze is lightly distracting. Still the fruit pine and sweet malts give this a certain level of drinkability.
