22 oz bottle shared with oteyj. Copper pour with a decent white head. Aroma holds some dank evergreen hop mixed with grapefruit and wet grass. Flavor combines an interesting herbal note marked with sage/tarragon with earthy pine presence. Somewhat light, not a great bitter finish for a DIPA. Decent, not great. Hazy amber/orange color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of malt, floral hops, & spice; Flavor of malt, rich pine hops, and citrus (notably grapefruit); Finish is bitter; Nicely balanced; Overall, pretty good. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - FEB 21, 2011
Bistro’s IIPA Fest in Hayward CA. Malt heavy in the flavor, almost APA like. Bitterness was really subdued, Flavor was very balanced. I really like this beer but in terms of being an IIPA it seemed to be lacking the substantial bitterness I was looking for. Great mouthfeel & drinkablity.
