Golden and clear with a soapy white foam. Aroma is floral with light tropical fruit. Hop bitterness is sharp but not acrid. Flavors of tangerine and grapefruit finishes quite dry and pleasant.

UPDATED: APR 18, 2017 Tap at Harhor’s Anniversary Event. The color is copper, the aroma fruity then floral while the taste is cleanly bitter but old school IPA. I preferred Breaking Bud’s fruity hoppiness. Taste is between 7 and 8.

Clear golden pour with a ring of clingy white that laces. Pine foremost on the nose and flavor with grapefruit rind coming in the finish to add a bitterness I’m not overly fond of. Finish is dry with lingering rind aftertaste. Starts okay, finish is too biting.

Pours hazy golden with a low white head and slightly oily lacings. Aromas of citrus, grapefruit, grass, pine, kiwi. Taste is very fruity and somewhat bitter with light floral notes and some grassy notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Deep golden, slight haze with a big white head. Piney aroma with a bit of citrus. A little sweet and citrusy up front, nice balanced bitter finish. I find the 102 IBU hard to believe.

FROTHINGSLOSH (7796) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 5, 2017
Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a dark amber color with a medium sized foamy white head that left good lacing. The aroma ws tart, chalky and dry with perfume and lemon. The flavor was bitter, tart and dry with herbal notes followed by a bit of tropical fruit and perfume. Long dry perfumey finish. Medium body. Alcohol well controlled. Pretty bad.

maekchu (3906) - Hirakata, JAPAN - FEB 5, 2017
Bomber from Whole Foods Market, Glendale CA. Very piney nose, with lots of citrus, lime juice, and very overripe grapefruit. Whew! Orange/amber color, some thick lace. Very resiny initial, thick caramel, considerable hop burn in mid palate, bitter citrus peel and citrus juice, with some sweet peach in late mid palate. Medium-heavy body. The pine and citrus really blast the sinuses. Quite a bit of hop burn and alc. warmth.
