Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Colin for another DIPA treat. Hazy gold beer, residual white head. Smooth softish palate with good fine carbonation. Light creamy malt supports crisp fresh orange hops. Lesser hop skunk. Finishes smooth with hop spice lingering on. I found this light.and easy going!

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to C-Money. Pours clear gold with a bubbly white head. The nose has some bready pale malts, ripe citrus, some rotting grapefruit. Medium sweet flavor with some alcohol boost, sticky pine, lightly toasted pale malts. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warm to hot finish with moderate hop resins, fusels, bitter grass, wood, orange rind. Really heavy.

Bottle from Lee Discount Liquor, Las Vegas
Clean amber color with creamy head. Very nice aroma, hoppy, fresh, fruity; later, the animal side shows too. Good body strength, not too thick; caramel and toffee flavor, with just an acceptable touch of crystal malt; moderate sweetness; strong hopping, with loads of piney resins, reasonable fruity contribution; the final is a bit, pleasantly abrasive; long. It manages not to be chewy.

Bottle split at Bruce’s pad, from the Big Sur Taphouse shop, 12/05/14 Hazed orange amber with a moderate off white swirl and edgework. Nose carries dankish hop tones, bitter orange, mandarin, pine, straw, light spice, lemon peel. Taste comprises carmel maltings, bitter grapefruit, candied orange peel, light spice. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness in the close. Ok DIPA.

22 oz. bottle, pours almost clear golden with a small off-white head. Aroma of pineapple, candied sugar, and some citrus hops - hinting at a sweeter IIPA than normal. Flavour of pineapple, mangos, caramel malt, candied sugar, leaving just a small citrus hoppiness on the finish. Too much residual sugar for my liking for a IIPA, but still mildly enjoyable.

jtclockwork (16831) - , New Jersey, USA - AUG 25, 2012

brokensail (16599) - Dublin, California, USA - FEB 25, 2014
On tap @ Uncle Henry’s Deli. Hazed orange pour with a white head. Really pine and grass forward on the nose. Some sweet bready malt and biscuit. Quite resinous. Flavor is really quite bitter. Lots of pine, some grass, and a lot of orange peel. A bit of peach as well. Mild sweetness of bready malt.
