Sweetness in the aroma, roasty coffee notes. Dark brown with a thick tan head that dissipates pretty fast. Little sweet vanilla like taste with roasty alcohol forward finish. A bit more vanilla please. Very smooth otherwise. jmikolich (1477) - North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA - NOV 6, 2014
Knee Deep has a good reputation, so I was surprised at how lacking this beer was, I think the grain bill needed to be stepped up to compensate the amount of vanilla, the body was thin and watery like vanilla extract, taste is okay very light roast, hints of vanilla nothing astounding. Bomber from waterboy, cellar aged 2 months, and served at cellar temperature, thanks Ric! Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Nice streaky lacing. Aroma has caramel, light roast, molasses and some vanilla. Taste is of sweet caramel, brown sugar, some molasses and sweet vanilla. Perhaps some gingerbread with certainly some spice. Medium to full bodied, with a slight alcohol presence. Finishes more balanced between sweet and bitter than expected. Tangy spice. Light ginger. This is a very interesting take on a strong porter. Would be curious for the standard tanilla. 14.2 fitwitchik (433) - Ohio, USA - OCT 21, 2014
Poured from a bomber into a snifter glass dark brown with a thin tan head.
Aroma is cocoa coffee.
Flavor is ever so slight vanilla-wish it were more. Cocoa. Espresso (sorta)
Balance is good. Thin but then it is a porter. Drinkable. Homer321 (5143) - Melboring, Florida, USA - OCT 3, 2014
Bottle to snifter. Nose is vanilla and cocoa. Light sweetness. Pour is pitch black, light brown head. Taste is chocolate with some light vanilla notes. No alcohol noted, very smooth.

The aroma is roast, vanilla, oat, chocolate. The appearance is deep black, tan head. The flavor is vanilla bean, roast, cocoa, oat, chalk. The finish is roast, light pine. Medium in body. Nice. slowrunner77 (12471) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 25, 2014
"Pretty much takes all the goodness that is Tanilla and amplifies it without losing any of the nuances (which is a neat trick). A bigger, bolder Tanilla that stands out as a dessert beer, stand-alone or w/beef."

Aroma of coffee, cocoa and a hint of smoke. Dark brown color with no head. Slightly bitter taste of malt and espresso with a creamy feel and a bitter finish. TheEpeeist (3709) - Media, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 17, 2014
22 oz bottle. Dark brown with a thick and foamy tan cap. Nose is cocoa, vanilla, coffee bean and hay. Silky medium to full body with a soft buzz; sexy. Taste is coffee with cream, vanilla bean, milk chocolate, coconut and faint licorice. Yummy.
