Tap at University of Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate and vanilla? Med + body. Flavor is milky chocolate and smooth dark malt with coffee notes. Goes a little earthy, finishes less than dry. Nice. oRos (1674) - sacramento, California, USA - AUG 23, 2014

A pleasant surprise at the Knee Deep tasting room in Auburn. Near black pour. Taste and smell has a little vanilla without the sometimes over the top lactic quality. Smooth as hell, with a nice roasted coffee aspect in the nose and flavor too. Unexpected, as these guys are mainly known as hop whores :) skoisirius (1908) - Earth, Washington, USA - AUG 14, 2014
Tap @ Jernigan’s. Dark black pour, hints of brown. Great filling nose with cocoa, sweet roast, and vanilla. Nice and fluffy sweet with sugars, more vanilla, and milk chocolate up front heading towards a more coffee bittered finish. Great flavors. Not insanely deep, but really smooth and tasty. Desserty...I dig! GenDV138 (7828) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - JUL 6, 2014
4 oz draft at Knee Deep Brewing. Black with tan head. Aromas of vanilla, chocolate, light coffee. Tastes of sweet sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, light dark fruit, roast. Medium body with a dry finish. Creamy mouthfeel. A bit too sweet.
