This is the new version of the Ryedentity Crisis. The brewer told me they decided to not make it black anymore. Amazing Rye Saison. Unfiltered, farmhouse aroma and paired very well with my food. maley1 (1301) - Calgary, CANADA - APR 21, 2012
Slightly cloudy yellow orange pour with small off white head. Aroma of rye malt, belgian yeast, spices and lemon citrus. Taste of rye malts, yeast, slightly spicy, lemon citrus, slightly dry finish. Perfect carbonation, perfect mouthfeel, incredibly easy to drink, ABV well hidden. Lots going on in this beer but everthing comes together perfect with no one thing overpowering the others. I loved this beer, cant believe its not getting higher ratings. Perfect beer for spicy foods. Ratman197 (15636) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAY 21, 2012
Bomber poured a clear tarnished gold with a small lasting off white head. Aromas of rye, yeast, floral notes, fruittiness and light spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of rye, yeast, fruittiness and spice with a crisp dry lingering spiced fuity finish. boyntonliquors (753) - San Jose, California, USA - SEP 3, 2012
Nice looking beer in appearance rivals Belgium farmhouse ales. Not to fragrant, but packs a mouthful of wonderful taste, and packs a punch with it's 8% abv. Nice clean neutral rye taste, a nice respite from my usual ipa fare. Highly recommend.

A 22-oz bottle shared with Strykzone via Facebook Chat. Poured a hazy orange with a light tan head and a lot of tiny bubbles in the beer. The nose was barnyard, with that slightly moldy damp hay smell, with citrus thrown in. Medium to full body and a slick and very smooth mouthfeel. The flavor is very complex with new tastes coming forward as you progress, including the barnyard, bubblegum, citrus, vanilla, and rye. These flavors continued into the finish, and the beer just more enjoyable as time went on. The alcohol was perfectly hidden. This complex and very tasty beer defies style. It is what it is, and that is very good.

Poured from the bottle. Pours cloudy with sediment. Nice creamy head, no lacing. Aroma is of rye malt. Flavor is similar but not as smooth as other ryes. Palate is full bodied with a oily thick finish. Overall pretty decent rye. Strykzone (7807) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JAN 29, 2012
Bomber from Hayduke. We enjoyed a bottle together via facebook chat. This had so much yeast in the bottom of the bottle and when rolled it looked like a lava lamp. When poured it was opaque and golden brown. A huge head seemed to take forever to fade. This beer was perfectly named. To put it into a single style is unfortunate because it kept changing. Some times it was a Belgian, and was like an Orval with rye. Other times it was like a hefe with bubblegum. Other times it brought out spices. What a fun beer to enjoy! So multifaceted and so interesting. It did not hurt at all that it was so tasty, too. I liked it a lot and it was one of those beers that is more than the sum of its parts. Draft. Mahogony beer with a cream colored head. malt and earth aroma with pine and light cocoa. Grapefruit and pine flavor with earth and malt. Medium bodied. Grapefruit and pine linger with earth, malt, and light caramel. bhensonb (15993) - Woodland, California, USA - AUG 22, 2011
Bomber from Bottle Barn in Santa Rosa, CA. Bottle says 8%. Pours translucent orange amber with a creamy off-white or beige head. Smells of citrus and a little barnyard. The body is sort of medium creamy. The flavor has rye, some Belgian spice, and some light barnyard accompaniment. Citrus is very light. It gets more saison like with time. Seems like it is a bit confused. Drinks well.
