"i guess i associate rye with hoppy brews subconciously, so this 27 ibu saison was a bit of a surprise. amber in color, fruity aroma with a hint of spice and funk. pleasant tart aftertaste. light for 8%. a nice beer i’d get a pint of on tap, but for $6+, probably won’t go out of my way for another bottle."

Bottle - Leather, feet, dark malts and rye spice. Cloudy brown with a thin whitish head. Tastes much like it smells with a bit of grass. The rye makes this pretty cool, I like this. Bacterial (3074) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - OCT 25, 2013
Bottle shared by John - thanks! Malty, lots of sweetness some Belgian spice but mostly sweet malt here. Easy to drink. reggiedunlop (3726) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 9, 2013
pours a hazy orange witha medium white head. aroma is slightly citrusy and tangy. flavor follows suit and adds tropical fruit and a slight rye spice. finish is tangy and dry. Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - JUN 24, 2013
December 2012. 20 oz. bottle. Hazy orange brew with a white head. Aromas of grain, bread, yeast and malt. This one is a bit off and out of balance. Maybe that is why it’s retired now.

Bottle at Freakin Frog. Retired? Ok. We drank a retired beer. Saison? Didn’t taste like a saison. I got cloudy orange slightly tart. Rye? nuplastikk (6514) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 6, 2013
22oz bomber...stored in the closet a little too long I’d wager. Unfiltered cloudy orange-tan. Massive gushing head when poured..leads me to think infection. One of the worst beers I’ve ever had from California, garbage aroma, and gross rye-saison mix. Flat out bad, this is a waste of good ingredients, a truly awful end product. Clear amber, some visible carbonation, off-white finger of rocky foam with low retention. Moderate lacing.Sweet malts, slightly metallic hop notes. Bit of alcohol and yeast. Bready malts up front, backed by a drying, bitter hops aftertaste. Moderate carbonation, light-to-medium body.
Saison, kind of. Ale, sure. Rye? Maybe. Falls short on all three, though. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 5, 2012
