Shared bomber poured to snifters, showing an orangey gold color, with a decent layer of off white head foam, and spots & streaks of lacing. The nose was stinky, dankness, and greenery, with esters & resin that took a distant back seat, and a touch of sweet grain to totally confuse me. Medium+ bodied, with good carbonation, the taste showed a little more fruit as citrus & some tropical hints, a pronounced hop bitterness, some malt sweetness to temper, and a boozy alcohol presence. Roughed up a bit, but I’ll heal. ben4321 (6416) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - SEP 22, 2014

Aroma: It has a big juicy hop aroma of grapefruit, resin, pine, and some sweet caramel
Appearance: It pours a dark golden color with a fairly thick head and heavy lace
Flavor: The taste is big as well, similar to the nose, a little sweet, but with a big bitterness
Palate: The body is full, it gets a little sticky, with a smooth, creamy feel, and a dry finish
This is a really nice one. Very hop-forward, with a enough sweetness to keep it from being one-dimensional. This is a nicely made beer.

UPDATED: SEP 18, 2014 22 oz. bottle from SoHo Organic Market, Elizabeth City, NC (bottled July 2, 2014). Murky dark orange pour with a frothy/creamy off-white head. Enticing aroma of fresh pine, grapefruit rind, and wet grass. As psyched as I was from the aroma the taste is a bit of a letdown as the alcohol is a bit too prevalent. Still there is plenty of hop bitterness with juicy grapefruit and pine needles notably making their presence known. Very good beer, but with less of an alcohol presence this would be incredible. jflopsu (1592) - New Jersey, USA - SEP 13, 2014
Pours a light and clear gold. Has an extremely strong floral hop aroma. A very strong flavor of floral, citrus, spices, and hops. A strong bitter and dry aftertaste. An amazing beer!

Bottle looks from the date to be six weeks old now. Pour has a deep golden color and a thin coating of off white head that retained a ring on the glass. Aroma has big crushing hops, bitterness, resins, citrus, and a sticky malted core. This is so juiced up it is in barley wine territory. Mouth feel coats well and is medium with medium low carbonation. Flavor again has an insane quantity of hops, resins. creeping bitterness, hefty sweet malts, and citrus. This gets to be almost thick from the hops more than from the malts. Definitely a very filtered beer as there is not any sediment in the bottom and I personally enjoyed the double more than this triple. Bottle from Bottledog, King’s Cross, London. Cloudy orange with slim white head. Lovely aroma of citrus aroma, pineapple. Taste doesn’t. Disappoint, citrus orange, resin, sweet malts, well hid alcohol, with a touch of warmth on the way down. Medium bodied, nice bitterness throughout, with long bitter finish. Excellent. bottle. Amber with one finger head. Medium malt body with big citra and simcoe hops. Booze well hidden. Just a touch sweet. Well done DIPA. BLADT (700) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - AUG 30, 2014
Bottle. Semi-opaque Spalding orange in glass with sudsy white head. Pine and dank citrus dominate the perfume. An unexpectedly chocolaty undertone. Maybe roasted malt. High ABV is on display before this hits your lips. Medium bodied. An insulting amounts of pine resin and tropic hops, backed by pro forma caramel malts. More booze. Flavor packed, but to what end. Could use more direction, but no regrets.
