On tap at Taps in Petaluma. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a bit of head. Strong hoppiness that lingers. Nice creaminess to the flavor.

Very light retention and medium lacing. Smells of pine, citrus and hops. Tastes of grapefruit, lemon peel and sweet malt. Medium bitter finish.

Bottle, huge thanks to Charles for sharing!! Beautiful clear amber pour with an average-sized frothy white head. Nose and flavor have a surprisingly amount of caramel and even a touch of buttery diacetyl present; thought it would have held up slightly better at only 7 weeks old. You can definitely feel the big lemon and dank evergreen there, but it’s a bit masked. Alas, the problem with getting well-reputed West Coast beers on the East Coast.... Bottle to glass. Not sure how fresh it is. Pours a clear golden light copper color with a thin light tan head. Aroma is caramel malts, lots of fleshy fruit hops, and that classic smell when a high gravity hoppy beer sits too long. Probably not the beer’s fault, but more so on the store selling it. Flavor is moderately bitter, with a light fruity sweetness. Medium body with a lingering bitterness. Tasty, but would definitely be better fresh. On tap at Harry’s Hofbrau. Massive grapefruit, pine and resin on nose. Grapefruit is bright and beautiful. Pours a clear light gold with a white head that leaves quickly. Only a collar and slight webbing remain. Flavor is mostly pine and resin. Slight dank. Cracker-like malt supports well with nice residual sweetness. Finishes dry. Moderate high bitterness, but not overly so as can happen with this style.

Bottle to ipa glass. Dark subdued burnt orange pour with a thick white head that laces a bit. Nose is very citrus and sweet malt. The booze is apparent. Taste is malty sweetness up front with a bitter booze grapefruit and orange hop finish. perezs25 (42) - - MAR 14, 2014
Holly S&@$! In-your-face XXX IPA! The Tequila shot of IPAs. Very strong pine, some citrous first sniff, more moderate later. Poured with moderate head, expected more with such high hops. Amber color, low haze. Taste is hops all the way, I think I taste some sweetness of caramel, but all I can think of is swimming in a big pile of hops! Very tangible body, very warm after taste. Gulps made my eyes tear and mouth pucker! A beer for sipping, maybe the ceiling for hop heads like me.

On tap. Pours golden deep yellow. Hint of head and good lacing. Nose is off the hook, hop, pine, citrus. Crisp clean massive hope attack, clean, fresh, on point. CanIHave4Beers (4184) - Pouring Bus, Iowa, USA - MAR 11, 2014
Pours a golden color with a small head and some lacing on the glass. rick_91709 (458) - USA - MAR 9, 2014
The aroma is buttery with a bunch of hop pellet character. It’s got some fruity hoppiness, some grassiness, and plenty of booziness.
The flavor is booze and butter with some but citrusy hop character. Yum a dum-dum.
I can hardly believe I was drinking the same beer as the other raters on this one, I did not enjoy this very much at all.
Poured from a bottle. Deep gold. Frothy, white head. Very clear. Big citrus aroma. A little bitter to start followed by some pineapple(?). Alcohol is not very apparent in the taste.
