Simtra Triple IPA delivers a punch in the face with its very danky hop aroma derived from Simcoe and Citra hops. You wanted more hops you got them.

Bottle from Chuck's: new brewery to NE OH. Pours clear amber, wispy off white head that fades to a thin haze and dense ring. Pine resin, mango, herbal spice notes with some crystal and caramel malt presence on the nose. As this warms, resinous hop bitterness, some grassy and herbal nuances with this hop profile. caramel and crystal malt sugars in the middle of the flavor profile, followed by a not over the top spicy bitter hop bitterness. For a triple IPA, this grew on me as the palate holds up and mellows and increases drink ability for such a big ABV beer. It's no Pliny or Dreadnaught, but damn good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Beautiful bitter bomb, hoppy as hoppy can be with a gigantic malt base to offset the brutal finish. Pour is gorgeous, a glorious orange-gold underneath an enormous head and age rings that linger after each sip. Nose explodes with citrus and cat pee, backed by an orange-tinted sweetness and the slightest hint of booze. But, dear lord, what a hop bomb, the pine-grapefruit-orange-floral pungency of the Citras and Simcoes melding with caramel-toast malts to create a flood of majestic IPA excess. Starts mildly sweet, grows increasingly bitter, and finishes uber-resinous, a lingering finish for the ages. Alcohol is completely hidden, and the feel is silky smooth. Great beer.

Extra dank daffodil, scallions, rubber, and mango nose.Clear amber, medium head, little retention. Daffodil, fingernail polish at midpalate, grapefruit and orange peel. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily and resinous. Straight up bong water. Im sure the potheads are really going to love this. It isnt really my style, but I still enjoyed it.

Damn, this is an absolutely massive aroma and taste bomb of a triple ipa. Holy shit. As soon as I popped the top I got hit with resinous dank aroma. In the glass I got the juiciest, freshest mango, papaya, pineapple and peach. Theres a bunch of resinous pine and a huge green dank aroma. Taste follows the aroma perfectly. Super tropical and juicy, dank and piney. Slight burn but nothing offensive. This is a big one, but its actually super drinkable. Highly recommended.

Cloudy gold pour, no real head. Nose is citrus, alcohol, and pine. Bitter, very bitter. Middle is creamy orange marmalde, floral notes, and some woody rose. Finish is bracingly bitter and looong. ABV does not taste as high as it registers on the label, be careful.
