Borefts warm up -bottle in the Hotel. Clear gold - amber beer. Good white head. Palate is light, minerally fresh and a little dry. Massive Citra hops! Hurrah! Somewhat skunky but with a big big orange and tangerine full on fruity freshness. Finish is semi dry with a little aniseed alcohol noticeable but this is a very drinkable beast of an IPA. Lovely!
UPDATED: MAR 14, 2013 Bottle at Bruce’s, London to celebrate Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Argentina and his election as Pope Francis. Big thanks to Bruce for this one! Pours clear gold with a fine, creamy white head. Alcohol-soaked citrus fruits in the nose, orange, some light bread. Medium to big sweet flavor, moderate bitterness, some juicy pine, bit of boozy sting. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warm, fairly boozy finish, moderate resins, orange and tangerine, a touch medicinal. Really, it’s a bit boozy overall.

Hazy golden color with compact head. Tropical and citrusy explosion, perfect pale malt canvas, balanced. Lean, with very moderate residual sweetness. When you can conceal bitterness and alcohol so skillfully, the result is a great beer.
Bottle at home, from the Best Damn Beer Shop, 03/05/14.
Almost clear golden amber with a moderate off white head that stays for the show.
Nose is bitter hops, pine, caramel malt, orange pith, tangerine.
Taste comprises caramel malt, bitter hops, grapefruit, dank tones, pine bite, boozey punch, light perfumed notes.
Fullish body, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness in the close laced with booze.
Ok DIPA but not to draw, just a little overly boozey, the 11% is pretty evident. mcberko (18998) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 3, 2012
22 oz. bottle, pours a clear golden / copper with a tiny, quickly-dissipating white head. Aroma exudes loads of resinous hops, moderate tropical fruit character (mango and pineapple), and a generous portion of caramel malt - slight candied sugar component too though not dominant. Flavour has truckloads of resinous hops, not much of the tropical fruits, a perfect amount of sweetness, and just enough backing of caramel malt. Extremely hoppy and quite bitter, though never too puckering on the palate. Certainly a superior example of how you do a Imperial IPA - brilliantly balanced while still being very hoppy but not too annoyingly astringent. Most excellent and highly drinkable. Bottle from Beer Junction, Seattle. Light golden-amber, with a bubbly head. Assertive hop nose, bringing...uh...orangey litterbox, as per either the name of the beer or the power of suggestion. Definitely some alcohol in there, along with what I would say is a bit of heavier, stickier pale malt. Sweet-bitter palate bringing a citrus rind pithy bitterness, with light orange and grapefruit notes, and a thwack of alcohol upside the head. There’s definitely some sweet malts in there, lots of them in fact, but they are kept in balance by the rich hoppiness. A drunker guy wouldn’t know this was a triple IPA and would kill that bomber quick. Which is high praise for this style. Top quality. Shout out to mcberko for the recommendation. rlgk (18844) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 8, 2014
Bottle thanks to _angst_. Clear golden beer Caramel aroma, grassy, citrus, bready, biscuits, toffee, herbal, some floral notes. Hoppy biscuit flavor, hay, citrus, some herbal notes. A bit cloying but still a good beer.
