3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle, $11.99, no date from OB Quik Stop--hopefully this is a new batch, and not just leftovers from the distributor. We shall see. Clear medium orange with a one finger off-white head, fair retention. Aroma of bitter orange rind and cat pee, light lemon (not in the Sorachi Ace way, but the Citra) and herbal dry hops. There is a little crystal malt in the backend, but doesn’t seem sweet. I don’t get much pine in the aroma, but it does come forth more in the flavor. I get some alcohol warmth and spice, mild sweetness and lightly toasty cracker malt. Dry finish, bitterness peaked at a 7, the alcohol numbing the tongue. Big full body, though not yet syrupy, with low to moderate carbonation. Better than I thought it’d be--the hops aren’t quite super bright and juicy (though close), but the sweetness is right where it should be for a >10% beer.
650ml bottle pours a slightly hazy golden orange color with a finger of white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is grapefruit and pine with some earthy tones and hints of caramel and tropical fruits. Taste is a grapefruit, pine and earthy hop bitterness with a tropical fruity and caramel malty sweetness. Medium bodied with good carbonation that pleases the palate. Overall, a big hoppy brew with a big malts to balance things out. Alcohol is well hidden. Wonderful sweet hoppy flavor. It makes you want to keep sipping it. By far my favorite triple IPA.

UPDATED: JUN 21, 2017 Bottle poured into a tulip glass. Pours clear gold with a small fizzy white head. Aroma is huge and full of lemon, grapefruit, mango, and pine. Initial taste is pine, earthy, oak aged bourbon, with a hint of citrus underneath. Aftertaste is still very earthy with a hint of biscuit and pine resin. Full body and just enough carbonation. Alcohol is hidden pretty well and leaves a nice warming. Very good stuff. Almost like a bigger version of their Imperial IPA. MadRobin (2988) - Silver Spring, Maryland, USA - JUN 16, 2017

Clear orange with a fluffy white foam. Lots of melon in the aroma.Big hop flavor and bitterness is well balanced. Melon flavor lasts long into the finish. KansaiBeerLvrs (5153) - Kyoto, JAPAN - APR 18, 2017
Bottle from Titans, served in my IPA glass. Crystal clear beautiful copper in color with an insanely hoppy bouquet featuring tons of tropical fruits. Medium bodied with a slightly scratchy carbonation. The taste is bitter woodsy pine, sweet sirupy malts and hugely fruity hops. For such a high ABV it is much less boozzy than I expected though it does have some heat to it. Really good. Spab (3846) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 2, 2017
650 ml bottle from Canada Craft Club. Pours a clear golden orange colour with moderate-sized, creamy white head. Aroma is big danky, citric hops with some vinous character and a little booze. Flavour is huge, dank citric hops, some vinous white wine character, light grains and some booziness. Big body. Impressive. Fred82 (2324) - Québec City, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 26, 2017
Pale yellow small head. Citrusy and citrus notes. Barley sugar. Taste barley sugar, sharp hoppy notes. Quite bitter. Finish very bitter and sugary. White sugar. Very heavy and slightly boozy.
