Simtra Triple IPA delivers a punch in the face with its very danky hop aroma derived from Simcoe and Citra hops. You wanted more hops you got them.

Bottle from Nugget. Excellent double IPA. Burts with citrus, fruity hops. Bitter, but doesnt linger. I will be searching this out.

This beer is quite simply the very best IPA...in the world. The aroma smacks you in the face - huge citrusy, piney, sweet aroma. The smell might honestly be the best part. Ive been known to just keep sniffing the bottle after Im done drinking, like a crazy person. For such as strong beer (10%+) it is eminently quaffable and medium-bodied. This is not a syrupy, barleywine-ish IPA, it is a bright, refreshing ale that just happens to have a monstrous alcohol content. Just a gorgeous, perfect beer. Better than either Pliny (both of which are top 10 for me), this would be the one beer I would drink if I had to drink only one for the rest of my life.

Lightly hazy orange with big, foamy, white head / Bright nose of weed, earth, and citrus / Medium to full body, creamy, some sweetness, big fruit matched by moderately biting hops, and fine bitter finish / Flavors of orange peel, cream, weed, fresh cut pine, candied sugar, soap, and grapefruit / A perfect double.

Very similar to PTY. I know. I just had the PTY 2014 release a day ago and had a Simtra afterwards. My wife and friend also agreed. If anyone wants to know what PTY tastes like, get this beer now.

UPDATED: OCT 29, 2014 The nose of this thing is really furiously yummy. hops and a dank bubblegum after a small fizzy white thin head. who would guess otherwise w/a 11.5 % monster. fruity esters and more citra hops. taste follows the nose. Bold hop assault but very clean. very clean. The excellent carbonation keeps things very tidy. some buttery biscuit bread notes from the yeast. A wonderful triple IPA. easily the best in its class ive ever tasted. clean and well carbonated and although you can taste some booze its well masked or rather this is excellently brewed and thats the best part of this, you can taste the care that went into the mix. very very highly recommended.

An excellent triple IPA. A hop heads heaven. Great nose but still an excellent balance of flavors. Mouth feel is top notch.

Jeez what a superb brew - Simcoe on steroids - massive hop impact - well balanced but unobtrusive malt - alcohol invisible until it hit my speech centre but luckily I shared the bottle otherwise all motor function would have malfunctioned.
