Rich and deep as we expect a stout to be. Dark with Carmel head. I think the lactose is making my tongue happy with richness. Thanks.

Cola brown pour with no head. Aroma of chocolate, hazelnut, and lactose. Chocolate, hazelnut flavor with some lactose sweetness and a touch of roasted malt. superspak (6371) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - JAN 20, 2018
16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 11/9/2017. Pours hazy opaque dark brown/black color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with solid retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Slight spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big hazelnut, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, fudge, brown sugar, and toasted dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of smoke, char, pepper, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, hazelnut, lactose, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of hazelnut, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, fudge, brown sugar, and toasted dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of smoke, char, pepper, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate roast/char and herbal/peppery hop bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of hazelnut, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, fudge, brown sugar, toasted dark/brown bread, smoke, char, herbal, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, hazelnut, lactose, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a good roast/hop bitter/sweet balance. Light lingering acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and fairly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is good. Zero warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is a very nice flavored milk stout. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, hazelnut, lactose, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; smooth and easy to drink, though a bit rough on the finish from bitterness. Very rich and complex for the ABV. Well balanced hazelnuts and classic milk stout flavors. Just a bit too bitter/hoppy than I'd prefer. A very enjoyable offering, and nice style example. nearbeer (5713) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 19, 2018
Pint canned 12/01/2017. Stout looking with a thin film of bubbles. Nose is big with cocoa, espresso, lactose and nearly-scorched grain. Flavors of cocoa, scorched bread, roasted nut and popcorn, lactose and coffee. Almost medium mouthfeel with medium carbonation and a slight astringency. Sampled on draft at Champs in Altoona this beer poured black color with a medium sized foamy dark brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet and toasty with chocolate syrup and hazelnut. The flavor was sweet with strong cocoa powder, hazelnut, toasty malts and marshmallow. Very long finish. Moderately full bodied and smooth. Outstanding

16 oz can.
Clear but near black and opaque body with a weak, fizzy, beige head. Minimal lacing.
Lots of roasted nuts in the aroma that seems to be a mix of hazelnut and peanut butter.
The flavor has a load of roasted hazelnut/peanut with more subtle dark roasted grains. A touch of dark toast appears in the aftertaste.
Very smooth, full body with light carbonation. halfonit (1415) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 17, 2017
UPDATED: DEC 19, 2017 Pours dark brown with a thick brown head. Aroma is of malts, toastiness, some nuttiness, hazelnut, aluminum, and chocolate. Heavier palate with a little more carbonation than what I expect in a stout. Flavor is of roasty/toasty malts, nuts, cocoa, and Nutella. Leaves a toasty nutty chocolate malt finish. Although I think that the name on this is wrong. It looks like it's actually spelled "Stoutello." Fatehunter (2650) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - DEC 6, 2017
Black body, tan head. Aroma is chocolate, burnt wood and toast.
Taste is chocolate sweet, cacao bitter. Texture is thick and smooth. GregMooreNH (389) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 3, 2017
Pours black with dark, thick, dense head. Aroma is chocolate, hazelnut and brown sugar. Taste is sweet hazelnut, mixing with chocolate and finishing with smooth maltiness. A really tasty stout. HuskerTan (2470) - Ravenna, Nebraska, USA - NOV 13, 2017
A- Nutty, roasty.
A- Black color, dark liquid, tan head.
T- Nutty, roasty, dry.
P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, dry finish.
O- I still think Knee Deep is a bit overrated and have yet to be super impressed. This was the best I've had yet though. More of a dry stout than a sweet stout. No sweetness at all.
