500ml Bottle from Reilly's, Lisnaskea (£2.49): Beersiveknown (5303) - NORTHERN IRELAND - JAN 17, 2016
This one was definitely an average to poor hefeweizen & not at all like the better German version of the style that I've tried previously. The beer featured some basic wheat & citrus flavours in the early going with a little banana that seemed too light on the nose but wasn't too bad come the taste. It wasn't really an offering that I enjoyed much either, I'm just hoping the next beer from the brewery that I try is a little better.
bottle at home from the vineyard, Belfast
lightly hazy burnished gold, dusty grin a touch of clove and floral pepper on nose. spritzy carbonation, full bodied, quite phenolic, wheaty, a little thin for a weisse perhaps but in the right ballpark
