Beer no.6 of the Vinarna Hrozen tasting at the RBESG. DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 6, 2008
Poured a murky darker golden colour with a medium sized head. A great aroma of honey, hop and some fruit. A superb lemony/herbal hopiness mingling with a bit lighter grainy maltiness. A superb pils, definitely the best beer of the tasting in my opinion.
Tap at the place with no taps and 12 kegs and no idea how to pour. Alround rating: Balanced honey and herbal grassy hop, super drinkable stuff indeed. ogivlado (7955) - Zagreb, CROATIA - JUL 3, 2008

The sixth beer of the Vinarna Hrozen tasting at the RBESG 2008. Somebody mentioned that Kocour’s brewmaster is (only) 20 year old girl !!! Light hazy golden coloured, medium sized white head, perfumey grassy/flowery nose. Malty, great hoppy and light grainy taste with moderate bitter finish. She made a really good job.
Tap @ Vinarna Hrozen, Plzen.

Pours hazy golden with an impressive, creamy/frothy white head. Aroma has lots of hops, mostly grassy, but also pine and fruit. Subdued crisp maltiness with perhaps a slight note of caramel. Super elegant mouthfeel, just the right creaminess to the right carbonation. Flavour is wonderfully balanced between Saaz hops bitterness and dryness and sweet maltiness.
on tap a few times, for the first time at the rbesg08. as with other kocour beers, it seems very fresh and new but is actually pretty authentic for the style. faintly hazy pale golden, hint of peanut skin in the aroma beneath a blast of saaz. quite bitter on its day, quality stuff omhper (25570) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUL 2, 2008
UPDATED: SEP 5, 2008 Draught at Vinarna Hrozen, Pilsen. Hazy golden, small head. Concentrated grassy nose. Very dry and grainy with light-medium body. Lingering very powerful bitterness. Classic pilsener style indeed, They sure haven’t saved any money on the hops, and the malt is really well made too. gnoff (10859) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 8, 2008

Shady golden color, white head. Fruity, yeasty, hoppy scent. Fruity hoppy taste. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness.
UPDATED: AUG 8, 2008 On draught in Praha-Žižkov: Golden coloured with a big, relatively quickly collapsing white head with a little lace, delicate, but distinctive aromatic hoppy nose covering some fruity malt, light to medium bodied, light to medium clean sweet and bitter flavour, pale malt and aromatic hops, almost with a touch of smoke, in the short finish. O.K., but not overwhelming..........(7/3/6/3/12)
Draugh @ RBESG 08, Plzen: Very distinctive herbal-flowery hops in the nose; mid-sized, stable creamy white head; robust dry bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; hops are always present in the lingering bitter-sweet finish. Great Bohemian Pilsener........ henrikb (1263) - Aarhus, DENMARK - JAN 15, 2009
Golden body, white head; Well made nose, very malty, more hops would make it perfect; Some for the body, bitter but almost only malt bitter, fresh and soft; Long finish, soft bitterness, very drinkable, buttery soft aromas. More hops please!
