Kokanee is a 5.0 percent alcohol (by volume) lager that is smooth, clean and lightly hopped. It is brewed with mountain stream fed water and a blend of 3 malts and features a unique combination of superior Western-grown North American hops. Brewed in the Kootenay Mountains of British Columbia by the Columbia Brewing Company, Kokanee is British Columbia's most popular beer over the last 10 years. Since its introduction to the Northwest U.S. in the summer of 1994, many people have discovered and enjoyed Kokanee's cool, crisp, glacier fresh taste.

Draught. Pale gold with a short lived head. Aroma is light grainy, flavor is similar, standard enough but drinkable.

Can- Non-existent aroma, the BC lager has a light straw and slightly bronze colour and produces a small white head. Has a strong breadiness taste with a corn aftertaste. If a patron wanted to try a popular canadian brewed beer for the first time I would not recommend this one. Average pale lager

Davhgbrew (948) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 28, 2013
Clear pale straw. Surprisingly crisp and clean for a pale lager. There is a adjunct corn like malt flavor in the middle. I wouldn’t reach for it again, but I had to have one.

Can - Light grains and very sweet. Pale gold with a fizzy head that disappears almost immediately. Sweet apple and corn. Another sweet pale lager that is not good nor offensive.

Can. Drink this when your pissed and can't taste an awful lot. That's what I did and it worked for me... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The standard macro brew growing up in Western Canada. Light golden colour with no head. Taste is a bit better than most macro’s but nothing I would recomend.

MikeJslc (778) - USA - NOV 28, 2013
Light gold, clear, white head. Aroma of grainy sweet, corn-like malt. Flavor is similar, with a touch of green apple. Standard American/Canadian light lager.

Had this on draught last night; I guess it’s time to review my province’s most rated beer. Transparent yellow, no head. Nose is mostly metal and bread. Flavour is same, slightly more hop grassiness than the average pale lager which may have brought up the ratings as otherwise this is an awful beer that I couldn’t finish... the metallic breadiness is something else, I even prefer most crappy Asian lagers to this one.

UncleKorm (1321) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - OCT 12, 2013
Light crisp pils. Cereal aroma and taste. Light bodied, lively carbonation, and dry finish.
