Kokanee is a 5.0 percent alcohol (by volume) lager that is smooth, clean and lightly hopped. It is brewed with mountain stream fed water and a blend of 3 malts and features a unique combination of superior Western-grown North American hops. Brewed in the Kootenay Mountains of British Columbia by the Columbia Brewing Company, Kokanee is British Columbia's most popular beer over the last 10 years. Since its introduction to the Northwest U.S. in the summer of 1994, many people have discovered and enjoyed Kokanee's cool, crisp, glacier fresh taste.

The standard macro brew growing up in Western Canada. Light golden colour with no head. Taste is a bit better than most macros but nothing I would recomend.

Light gold, clear, white head. Aroma of grainy sweet, corn-like malt. Flavor is similar, with a touch of green apple. Standard American/Canadian light lager.

Had this on draught last night; I guess its time to review my provinces most rated beer. Transparent yellow, no head. Nose is mostly metal and bread. Flavour is same, slightly more hop grassiness than the average pale lager which may have brought up the ratings as otherwise this is an awful beer that I couldnt finish... the metallic breadiness is something else, I even prefer most crappy Asian lagers to this one.

Light crisp pils. Cereal aroma and taste. Light bodied, lively carbonation, and dry finish.

Was introduced to this on a great 4th of July weekend in Fargo with family a few years ago. The appearance & aroma are very similar to a light beer, pale yellow with a thin white head and a fairly non-existent aroma. However, the flavor is much more enjoyable. Taste is corn, with subtle hops, crisp and clean. Easy drinking & recomended.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle, thanks to Mike. Notes of sulfur, corn, pilsner malt. This is a standard American lager.

One of the better pale lagers Ive tried, cereal in nature, but smooth and mild, and tastes really good. Surprised, but pleasantly so. Cereal grains mainly in aroma and taste, Mouthfeel is light, but not watery. Refreshing, and easy to drink.

12oz bottle pours a golden yellow color with a thin white head that leaves ok lacing. smells of sweet malt and light hops. Tastes of the same things in the smell. mouthfeel is light and chewy with decent carbonation. Overall not bad for a canadian macro lager. One of my favorites as far as macro lagers go.
