Kokanee is a 5.0 percent alcohol (by volume) lager that is smooth, clean and lightly hopped. It is brewed with mountain stream fed water and a blend of 3 malts and features a unique combination of superior Western-grown North American hops. Brewed in the Kootenay Mountains of British Columbia by the Columbia Brewing Company, Kokanee is British Columbia's most popular beer over the last 10 years. Since its introduction to the Northwest U.S. in the summer of 1994, many people have discovered and enjoyed Kokanee's cool, crisp, glacier fresh taste.

Tastes Quite a bit like Labatt Blue. Both seem to be quite bland and no after taste. No real finish for anyone to enojoy. Meant for drinking in abundance it seems.

I should preface this review by saying that I like light-bodied beers, lagers included. Bought this in Santee (San Diego area) Beverages 4 Less, a place with a nice selection of craft beers and friendly proprietors. Unfortunately, possibly due to shipping costs, Kokanee turned out to be "kooky" in terms of value--bad, that is. Don’t get me wrong--it’s decent, clean, refreshing and goes down, well--like H20...and that’s the problem--it doesn’t have much taste at all! IF it were $2.99 a sixer, I’d recommend it highly...but it ain’t, at least not down here in "Diego!"

341 ml Bottle. I was pleasantly surprised when I had this beer. I was expecting something so mass produced to be really shitty but it acctually wasnt that bad. Nothing fantastic, but not bad. Taste of corn, a bit of hops, and a decent carbonation. I’d probably buy it again, but like I said, nothing special.

This is another prototpyical Canadian macro. The appearance, aroma and flavour can all be described as unspectacular at best. Not offensive in any way, but not entirely refreshing due to it’s watery taste. Too many superior options out there to think about this beer again.

This is the only beer I want on tap in western Canada. Even from a bottle or can it is great.

An extremely generic beer with very little interesting to offer. Devoid of any hop flavour. The finish is OK at best.

Why am i drinking this? It got left in my fridge. The absolute least offensive of the garbage that is sold in huge cases where i’m from. Funny how when i go to a bar, the keg’ll have 5 taps, and it’ll be something like: Kokanee, Canadian, Bud, Keith’s, and... Labatt Ice. Wow! what a selection! thx redneck marketing.
