Draft at Käck´n: Pale orange with some haziness. Puffy, creamy foam. Dull and dirty nose of waxy candy (candy corn), plastic, floral Hallertau, and hints of orange, apple, and butterscotch. Prickly carbonation. Seems quite young and underdeveloped, with sulfury yeast astringency and gummy candy sweetness pervading the flavor. Strong wax candy continues in the center alongside loads of soured fruit and apple juice. Malt gets lost in the excessive sweetness, and there is nary a hint of vividness to the grain. Zero trace of hop refinement or brightness, either. Leafy bitterness comprises the limp, papery finish. While I don’t recall this being so poor at 2009 Zoiglfest, I do know that it wasn’t quite this muddled, acidic, and underattenuated. Very difficult to enjoy this. Hopefully I will find this in better condition during next visit. bartlebier (3946) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - OCT 5, 2015

, Tag der Kommunbrauer 10/2015. One of the lesser distinct Zoigl of the Neuhauser Hauptstraße: less lieblich in the nose than Schoilmichl, offering some bready malts, stonefruit jam and chalky minerals. Well-curbed amber malt sweetness in taste, dry caramels, fine hopbitter finish.
Tap @ Kack’n, Neuhaus. Pours cloudy golden with a small white head. Buttery nose and flavor. Diacetyl and some grassy hops beneath. A shame really. Neuhaus was a disappointment. The city was covered in butter. (Weekend 5-7 July . 2013.) Christian (13601) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 19, 2013
At Käckn. Hazy golden with a small white head. Malty and grassy aroma with diacetyl notes. Sweet malty flavour with a bit of diacetyl, herbal hops and a decent bitter finish Koelschtrinker (20216) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAR 2, 2013
Malzsüßer Antrunk mit angenehmer Herbe, deutlich hopfig. Die Aromen werden intensiver, der hohen Sicht hervor. Runde herb, rund würzig. 11/12/12/12//12

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2012 From Tap in the Zoiglstube/ The head is robust, the body orange and cloudy. It smells very aromatic, a bit bitter, a bit fruity. The taste is spicy, a bit herb, sweet, very easy to drink. Very good and cheap! 13/12/13/12/-/13 motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - MAR 14, 2012
on tap at the zoiglstube 2009 tag der kommunbrauer. golden with a touch of orange; aroma of rockmelon in brown sugar with a bit of pond scum; hints of yeast bite in passionfruit nectar and white grape; chalky finish; not a standout but still a decent zoigl shrubber85 (11324) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - MAY 9, 2011
Tap at Zoiglhaus. Slightly sour barley malt aroma. Hazy amber color with moderate head. Slightly sweet barley malt with moderately bitter herbal hops. Lighter malt but stronger hops than the average Zoigl - tasty. Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 7, 2011
Bright gold, stable head. Aroma has slight pedio; grassy hops. Juicy body with very crisp, dry finish. Bursting with hop character. Smooth and crisp with lasting hop bitterness in the finish. Tons of minerals and salt. Very hoppy zoigl. The pale malt backbone is nice too. Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 31, 2011
Hazy tan. Thick head. The aroma is herbal and a bit foamy. Herbal hops, soft malt. Almost a bit sticky in the finish. Good zoigl, but not as much bite as the rest of the them.
