Keg at Zum Posterer in Windischeschenbach on 14th July 2017. Pours hazy amber with a thin white head. Aroma is caramel, butter, popcorn a little vanilla. Taste is a big buttery caramel hit with a smidgen of vanilla and a nice malty finish. Not too sweet and decent smooth carbonation. Almost clear copper golden with a decent off white head.
Nose is sweet malts, caramel, light honeysuckle, grains, biscuit.
Taste comprises mellow fruit rinds, toffee, fruit loaf, brown sugars, toasted popcorn, soft breads.
Medium bodied, fine massaging carbonation, semi drying close.

, 1L takeaways 02-04/10/2015. - Deep amber-russet pour, orange shine. the subtle/subdued nose of dry breadcrust (Landbrot) smeared with bee honey and a hint of near-saazy spicy hops does not yet fully betray the malty riches that lie beneath: dry, satisfying Landbrot, honey and a herbal, sagey twist - subdued savouriness, leaving the minerals and smoke to be supplied by the Pressack and multiple sausage Brotzeit...Slightly buttery finish and minimal whiffs of ethanol, despite the clear pour.

Draught at Posterer, November 2012: Ruddy orange. Sticky white halo of foam. Supremely delicate and soft nose of spice cake, wooden hops (sassafras, earth), apricot marmalade, cookie, toasted bread, and a touch of honeysuckle. Initially firm with a healthy dose of minerals and crisp cookie backed with herbaceous, fennel-tinged hop bitterness and fluffy spicy cake. Pronounced yeasty bite coincides beautifully with the snappy mineral scrubbing action. Copious amounts of bouncy and juicy melanoidin fills the palate with appealing massaging textures and beautify the slick and zesty marmalade lusciousness. Looming caramelized sugar and candied pecan "grip" beneath the softer malt. Pervasively honeyish. Finishes well-attenuated yet earthy and fully malty with herbal hop echoes to induce appetite and temper the sugars. After spending some time with the style, zoiglbier can often seem a bit redundant, as the variability from to the next tends to be negligible. That said, I would be a happy man if this were my everyday quaffer. Might be a bit straightforward, but it’s yet another clean and slammable example with exemplary malt structure.

hazed honey amber body with a fine and soft white head. rich and creamy mouthfeel, full-bodied with frothy full carbonation. toasty biscuit pilsner malt with spicy peppercorns and mildly musty / pungent yeast, turning to shades of mushroom, soil and wood, then to minerals and seasalt, then to fresh, juicy, pulpy nectar and toffee crackers / sugar-glazed almond pastries. one of the gems from this leg in zoigl land.

Cloudy amber with large off white creamy head. Malty nose with fruity and caramel notes. Malty flavor with caramel, floral hops and fruity hints. Soft mouthfeel. Smooth and clean.
