Well, I am not sure what Weizenbock really is (I will research), but I deffinitely can say it is not for weiss beer lovers. Too bitter, very low carbonation. It is supposed to be just "stronger dark weiss" but why the taste is so untypical? Maybe this beer is not typical for this the style. I will check and maybe update my review/ DutchDrebus (6376) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - NOV 6, 2017
Bottle @ home. Brown colour with a nice medium sized beige head. Smells and tastes sweet, malty, caramel. I’m not a herfstbok man, but I think this is the example of what I like in a bok. But in the end my favorite bok would be a stout. Medium body, kinda soft and smooth, nice soft carbo. alex_leit (5361) - Minsk, BELARUS - AUG 23, 2017
Tap. Brown with creamy foam. Aroma: lollipops, raisins, caramel, sweetness and light spiciness. Taste: caramel, jam and dried fruits, chocolate, toffee, a little port wine, bitter finish, a bit strange. wilde_joost59 (383) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUL 24, 2017
Thuis uit fles. Erg goed schuim, dat gelukkig ook lang blijft. Mooie kleur, aroma gaat, smaak erg vol. Uitstekend bier. FatPhil (17513) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 13, 2017

Woo - half way between chocolate sauce and gravy! Very deep red, small tight head. Full palate, gentle tingle of carbonation. Pleasant roasty body, but very mellow. Pleasant bitter hopping too. Needsd more banana and toffee, and more aroma hops, in order to fully perfect the "hop weizenbock" style.
15-06-2017; bottle; at home (bought at Kompaan Craft Beer Var, The Hague, The Netherlands).
The looks of the beer are nice. The beer has a lovely copper reddish brown colour. The beer seems quite clear. On top of the beer a thick rough layer of slightly offwhite foam is formed. Foam retention is average.
The smell of the beer is nice. There is a nice sweet malty base, with some touches of caramel. The caramel gives a nice bitter touch to the smell. I also smell some nice touches of fruits and a nice aroma of hops. The hops give nice slightly spicy bitter aromas. I also smell a touch of liquorice.
The taste of the beer is also very nice. I taste a nice caramel malt flavour, together with lovely bitter and slightly acidic hops. The hops have nice citrus fruit aroma. I like it. The two are in nice balance.
The palate is good. Medium body, smooth and medium carbonation. The finish is nice. It contains some caramel and some fruity hops. All in all, a lovely beer. It has some depth and caramel of a Bock beer and the lightness of a Weizen beer. Nice combo, perfect for summer. Ysok02 (1957) - Mons, BELGIUM - JUN 10, 2017
Bottle (from speciaalbierpakket.nl). Pours dark brown with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, roast, caramel, malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, chocolate, roast, wheat, brown sugar. Finish is bitter chocolate with booze burn. Overall: good, but not very weizenbock-y and way too boozy. Gehbe (469) - Vilnius, LITHUANIA - MAY 19, 2017
Tap. Hazy deep brown with a lasting compact light tan head. Thick aroma of toffee, dried banana, a bit of toast and dark milk chocolate topped with a touch of spice. Sweetish taste supported by similar amounts of roasty bitterness and sourness. Smooth and frothy texture, full body, fairly high carbonation, warm finish. Complex and drinkable, definitely worth coming back for another one. Taboada (1579) - Compostela (Galiza), SPAIN - MAY 4, 2017
330 mml bottle as part of the European Local Swap 2/2017, many thanks to RW80 for this bottle. Murky brown colour with a medium beige head. Aroma of caramel, roasted malts, wheat and some dark fruits. Taste is medium fruity and roasty. Aftertaste is dark fruits and medium bitter. Next one please!
