Our brewers wanted to make a beer that went down easy after a day out on the water. Big Wave Golden Ale is just the ticket. Big Wave is a lighter bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor Ė a smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The use of caramel malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and our special blend of hops provides bright quenching finish. 10.3į

Malts: Pale (Premium 2-Row), Caramel

Great brew. Great taste. Good drinking parting beer. ..................................................

Bottle at the Greyfriar, Reading. Nice gold colour but visibly thin and fizzy.Butter and caramel up front but generally has more than a hint of mass market lager about it. Some sweetcorn, a hint of citrus, a touch of grass, but predominantly bland and fizzy. Drinkable but poor.

Nothing stands out in itís appearance, semi-cloudy, medium yellow body with medium white head that fades pretty quick. Aroma is fruity, pineapple with hints of pine. Taste is mild, slightly sweet, but not overpowering. Mild and somewhat refreshing.

Nurmis (627) - Oulu, FINLAND - APR 8, 2016
Bottle at home. Clear golden liquid, no head. Fizzy carbonation. Light aroma of citrus and bread, really crisp though. Light sweetness, light bitterness. Not much taste to be savoured, but the crispiness of aromas and the carbonation makes this a good beer.

onceblind (9404) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 7, 2016
Clear bright golden with a thin white top. Light aroma of almost nothing, but light golden toast. Crisp and bright flavor thatís blonde and very grainy, like a lager on ale yeast.

Mr_Pink_152 (4878) - Lincoln, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - APR 7, 2016
Bottle from Waitrose, Lincoln. Pale gold with no real head. Aroma light malt, taste malty sweet with a slight bitter finish. Overly gassy.

obguthr (6296) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - APR 5, 2016
Mild hay nose, ever so slightly skunky. Shimmering golden, thin head. Hay, malt, a little catty or skunky on the edges. Medium body, easy carbonation. Tame, but not really offensive. Has some character.

Cajun (532) - Lafayette, Louisiana, USA - APR 3, 2016
12oz bottle - Pours a golden hue with thin white head. Aroma of typical golden ales with a hint of bug spray! Floral... LOTS. Some citrus, some dough...but an odd flavor I cannot put my finger on right this minute and Iím calling it bug spray. This rating is over. I canít even...

Ahuth (567) - Illinois, USA - MAR 29, 2016
Draft. Pours a golden orange. Has a light taste. Citrus is light. Very light palate. Not that great but drinkable.

nazzty (1376) - ÷dŚkra - Helsingborg, SWEDEN - MAR 29, 2016
Normally not a big fan of the light golden ales, but this one is an exception where the sweet malts and crispy hops play in perfect balance. Close to perfection!
