Our brewers wanted to make a beer that went down easy after a day out on the water. Big Wave Golden Ale is just the ticket. Big Wave is a lighter bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor a smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The use of caramel malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and our special blend of hops provides bright quenching finish. 10.3

Malts: Pale (Premium 2-Row), Caramel
Hops: Galaxy, Citra

Disclaimer: Drinking this while relaxing on a lazy Saturday in Kauai so am incredibly biased/vulnerable to think piss takes like sweet bliss... A nice beer for a hot day or for light beer drinkers who want some flavor to their beer. There is enough variation in palate that ranges from slight hoppy notes to fruity notes. Mostly a plain tasty ale but the added hints make it highly drinkable. If you had to drink one beer at dinner this wouldn't be satisfying but if you like taste in your lighter beers this one has enough to be a great choice. Great aroma. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Citrus hops aroma: lemony grapefruit dominates, with some base malt backbone. Almost clear gold under a lasting white flannel blanket. Lemony bitter flavour that lacks depth bit does not offend. Light body, medium carbonation, fairly crisp.

Floral scent from the beginning. Light citrus scents and taste makes this a very good beer to have with foods!

Pours clear with no head. Smooth but little taste. Minimum hops and flavor. Overall not a great ale.

Hazy medium golden body with a white head that ends up as a partially covering film, good lacing. Hoppy and rather strong aroma of sweet tropical fruits, I get peach, pineapple and mango. Quite strong flavour of tropical fruits and citric fruits. Light sweet taste with a very light bitter and rather short finish. Light, thin and a bit watery on the palate, but crisp and refreshing. A nice and easy-to-drink brew if you like the aroma and flavour of hops, but dont like bitter beers.

350ml dark bottle, filtered. 2.19 from Beers & Bottles, Southampton. Dry, thin, tasteless malt with some pleasantly fragrant tropical fruit hops. Too thin and dry for my taste. More lager than ale.

On tap at the River road Tavern Deep golden color with a decent white head. Earthy citrus hop, with bread and light caramel. Decent brew.

I poured this ale into my trusty Samuel Adams glass. The pour produced a crystal clear golden body with a quickly diminishing head of white foam. The aroma is lightly hopped. Texture is light and crisp, with a dry edge, and easy on the hops aftertaste. A lawnmower beer, but not too bad. It has some character, though since my tastes lean toward the darker side, this isnt the beer for me. Easy to drink and not too bad.
