Our brewers wanted to make a beer that went down easy after a day out on the water. Big Wave Golden Ale is just the ticket. Big Wave is a lighter bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor – a smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The use of caramel malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and our special blend of hops provides bright quenching finish. 10.3°

Malts: Pale (Premium 2-Row), Caramel
Hops: Galaxy, Citra

Sehr leichtes, dezentes Bier.

Bottle from systembolaget, Östersund. A really decent golden ale, with a classic western US feel. Love the hops they use. It’s a little light but j suppose that’s the point! Very nice.

0,33l bottle. Clear golden with a white head. malty aroma with some citrus and tropical fruits. Taste is medium bitter and carbonation is fairly high. A nice beer to have on a sunny day.

(Kona Big Wave Golden Ale) Bottle 355ml at home, served into a shaker, ABV 4.4% Golden yellow colour on the body, clear, with a small and a bit thin white head on top. Aroma of tropical fruits, mango. Taste follows, plenty of tropical fruits, mango, citrus. Thin body, carbonation on the high side. Pretty good.

UPDATED: JUL 23, 2017 Birra dal colore giallo paglierino. Schiuma bianca, fine e mediamente persistente.

26/VI/17 - 355ml bottle from Albert Heijn supermarket @ home - BB: 21/II/18 (2017-950) Thank to Erwin for sharing the bottle!

Clear orange to deep blond beer, big creamy white head, little stable, bit adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: citrus, a hint of tropical fruits, grapefruit, pretty malty. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: soft bitterness, some grapefruit, citrus, malty. Aftertaste: little sweet, malty, some citrus, soft bitterness, grapefruit notes, grains, some tropical fruits. Pretty decent, surprised at the low overall score (35th %ile).

Home. 35.5 cl bottle. BB 2.10.2018. A white foam layer, which disappears fast. A yellow clear beer. Aroma is light malty and direct a fruity hop flavour of somewhat grapefruit and marmalade. Also a light hop off-flavour. Taste is light sweet, but not enough for a good body against the fruity hop bitter which became a little astringent. Apple, orange, somewhat grapefruit, peach and melon. Thin body, soft carbonation. At the end after a certain time the malty makes the beer a little off.
