Our brewers wanted to make a beer that went down easy after a day out on the water. Big Wave Golden Ale is just the ticket. Big Wave is a lighter bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor a smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The use of caramel malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and our special blend of hops provides bright quenching finish. 10.3

Malts: Pale (Premium 2-Row), Caramel
Hops: Galaxy, Citra

Had the chance to visit the brewery on the big island a couple years ago and loved their selection of beers! Two good things came of this discovery, one being that the whole island serves it so i was able to indulge with most meals and two being now that I know about Kona Brew Im able to spot it out in stores, purchase it, and share it with friends who havent been to hawaii...yet!

As meh as meh can be. Bright and pretty, with a nose that hews closer to premium lager territory than golden ale. Tastes like a flashy, less ester-y macro lager, easy to drink, easier to forget why you keep drinking it. Apples and pale malt meet an almost undetectable piney hop finish. Not awful, but forgettable.

A real smooth ride. For a light, easy drinking beer it has some well balanced flavor, Very nice mouth feel, lots of carbonation. hints of hop n malt and wheat on the end. nothing really comes to the forfront here, just a well balance light beer that u want to keep drinking.

Discounted bottle from AH, a year before best before date. Clear golden with fizzy white head. Light sweet malts, apple, a bit of citrus, some dusty old bread notes. Theres some dusty grain husks too. Light sweet and bitter. Under medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Quite light in both taste and aroma, a decent enough beer.
