Our brewers wanted to make a beer that went down easy after a day out on the water. Big Wave Golden Ale is just the ticket. Big Wave is a lighter bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor – a smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The use of caramel malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and our special blend of hops provides bright quenching finish. 10.3°

Malts: Pale (Premium 2-Row), Caramel
Hops: Galaxy, Citra

Straw-colored with a thin head that quickly dissipates to a lacy head. Fairly good hop aroma. Tastes of light malt, pine needles and a hint of coconut. Light mouthfeel with high carbonation. Very dry finish, but perhaps too dry. This would be a decent beer to sip on the beach or at a backyard barbecue.

Seriously good beer. But the Castaway IPA by this same magical brewery just stole it's thunder. Top shelf, but not quite elite. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smooth. Surprisingly bready and yeasty for a golden ale. But I definitely get wiffs of ocean waves with this one. A nice, light ale; good on any occasion. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home. Apperance is golden lager colour. Has a very bitter end to the beer. It’s okay wouldn’t want again drinkable but certainly nothing special. If you were on holiday and had this you would like it but at home it’s not worth it. It’s a holiday beer!

thomat (3830) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 17, 2017
Bottle from SB. Golden with a small white head. Fruity and flowery tones. Fruit, malt and hops. Medium to light body with a bitter / fruity finish.

GSAP (742) - NETHERLANDS - JUN 16, 2017

Canmoore (479) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 12, 2017
Pours a clear blonde colour, with a very small head. Aroma notes include biscuits, and tropical fruits. Tasting notes include grapefruit, orange zest, and slightly floral. Body is very light, slightly watery mouth feel, and slightly bitter finish. Meh

chinchill (4939) - South Carolina, USA - JUN 11, 2017
12 oz bottle in Idaho. Look: golden amber body with excellent clarity and a white head with good retention. Typical light ale feel. Mild flavor with a bolder aroma that suggests more hops.

This beer has got to be my go to at any bar. I always have a nice quantity laying around in the bottom shelf of my very Devine fridge. I would definitely suggest this with any occasion, formal to wild. It is truly a master piece. Rock on! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
