COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full-bodied, American-Style I.P.A. that is bronze in color, Castaway IPA is "dry hopped" (aged with liberal amounts of whole hop flowers after fermentation) for assertive hop flavor and aroma. The bitterness is balanced by the malty body of the beer.

Reddish-brown pour from tap. Mild, floral aroma, bitter forward but balanced. Not especially memorable but a balanced and pleasant IPA. Far too many interesting IPA’s to compete with here. Would I drink again? yes. Would I order again? no.

12-ounce bottle purchased while on vacation on Kauai. Oddly, the bottle notes it was brewed and bottled on the mainland, in Fort Collins, Colo. Pours clear orange with tiny white head and lacing; lots of visible carbonation. Aroma:citrus, tropical fruits, pine. Flavor: malt-forward (caramel, honey, butterscotch) with orange, papaya, pine resins. Mouthfeel: medium-bodied.

Bottle at home from grocery store nice surprise. Amber golden with nice citrus and floral nose. Tastes of grapefruit, tangerine, light candy, pine, and perfumey. Lighter bodied very drinkable. Lovely and refreshing. I've soft spot for Kona since I stopped at brewpub after getting tattooed nearby for a few hours. Fond memories.

Floral hop aroma and bready malts complemented with a grassy finish. Seems like this beer is the same iteration as the golden and pale, but it works better.

The aroma is very mild, clean slight malt. The appearance is a bit cloudy gold with a thin white head. Taste is a bit bland for the style. Fair to drink, overall just okay.

W smaku klasycznie. Fajna, cytrusowa goryczka połączona z niezłą bazą słodową. Jest fajnie owocowo, albedo, grejpfrut, ananas. Rześkie. Goryczka średnio długa, delikatnie zalegająca. Dosyć pełne. Całkiem fajne piwo.

Oceniane z notatek. Pite na Hawajach. Kolor złoty, jasny, zamglony Aromat cytrusów i delikatny ziołowy z kwiatami. W smaku cytrusy i żywica. Solidna IPA pita z przyjemnością.

12 Fl Oz bottle on 6th Dec 2017 at my daughters place in Laguna Niguel, California. Misty orange in colour, the white head soon turning into a wisp and collar. Really hoppy and resiny in nature. Citrus notes joined the resin flavours as the beer warmed a little in both the aroma and taste. Liked it's bitterness and orange like taste.

I like it. It pours dark gold with a short term froth. I drank it in a glass from a bottle. I found that it had a slight pine and bread nose and went down very easily. The front taste was very smooth and the middle taste was well-balanced and not shocking. It ended with a slight bitter taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pint at Huggis in Kona. Ok drop but no bitterness. A hint of mango. Couldn't get the beer buzz from this. Nice enough.

Bottle. Light to moderate roasted grain and caramel for the malt, light pine for the hops, light to moderate dough for the yeast, and a hint of sulfur. Head is small, fizzy/frothy, white, with some slippery lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is clear light amber. Flavor starts slightly sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and lightly to moderately bitter. Palate is on the lighter side of medium, slick, with a lively to fizzy carbonation. Pretty darn good IPA from Kona.
