On tap. Clear dark brown color with tan head. Big toasted coconut, chocolate, coffee aromas. Light bodied. Good flavors of chocolate, coconut, and coffee--a bit thin tho Ron (3955) - Rochester, New York, USA - OCT 29, 2009
On tap at the brewery. I’ve got Koco Loco Coconut Brewed ale in my notes. Not on beer menu yet. Amber in color. Not much coconut aroma. Lots of coconut in the flavor and aftertaste. Maybe alittle too much. GreatLibations (1854) - Last Supper, Arizona, USA - AUG 5, 2007
In a can but I can’t tell. Nice! Pours midnight brown w/ a full, semi creamy froth. Head retention is good reducing at a slow pace to a fine dusty canopy and a full yet thin ring. Aromas of chocolate roasted cocnonuts. Medium to full nectar w/ soft residual effers. The texture is quite silky. Flavors are strong on the cocoa w/ a defined coconut essence that starts early and persists to the finish. Tastes like a Mounds bar. There is a mild roast component and only a twitch of fruity sweetness. The finish has only a mild bittering making this a rather rich brew. Overall: it’s richly saturated with the cocoa-nut making it rather unbalanced yet a nice change of pace from the usual. TChrome (1472) - North Richland Hills, Texas, USA - MAY 27, 2012
Beer pours very dark amber color with a off white colored head. Aroma is a nice combination of roasty and coconut. Taste is sweet with a dry finish. A nice quafable beer, IMO. waolsen (1376) - Littleton, Colorado, USA - OCT 2, 2006
tap. Black pour. real nice head. Burnt coconuts, sugar, alcohol, oak barrel and very faint coffee aroma. nice coconut, smokey finish, marshmell, sweet chocolate. Changing palate but constant coconut. The balance is absolutely amazing. "Lime in the coconut" was beeing played by the band as I took my first sip. Poetic for this outstanding porter. I want more.

Can TWM Sterling - I had it a while ago, but found it an average porter with an artificial coconut thing happening. glkaiser (1214) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 23, 2006
Seriously. Did Walt and I imagine this beer at Falling Rock during GABF? Too bad that no one else has gotten to try this...or at least rate it. Toasted coconut, chocolate and coffee aroma is awesome. Black with big head. Big coconut taste! Smoke and chocolate all over the place. But, mostly toasted coconut and chocolate. Liquid almond joy. Truly fantastic, if you like coconut. stchloe (1067) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 31, 2009
Brown, porter they’re the same thing right? Silly guidebook. Otherwise this was disgusting, we each had a sip and to the floor it went. Seriously coconut just shouldn’t be in beer. Funknmilla (745) - Wayne, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 9, 2013
12oz bottle...Jan 2012
rich red amber color ...coconut in the nose but faint, muddled with just an ordinary "beer" smell ...flavor is of a diluted brown ale with some coconut not a nut about this beer but it is okay for something different UnholyBrewing (595) - Central Florida(Upper Hell), Florida, USA - MAY 22, 2012
...had this out of the bottle in a Publix parking lot, hahaha. Went down smooth, with nice coconut and nutty flavors to round it out. Had nice dark roasted malt notes too, the flavor was pretty balanced, Dinished smooth, with a toasted coconut aftertaste, good beer.
