COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fire Rock Pale Ale is a crisp, refreshing “Hawaiian-style” pale ale. Its signature copper color results from the unique blend of specialty roasted malts. The pronounced citrus-floral hop aroma comes from the liberal amounts of Galena, Cascade & Mt. Hood hops added to each brew.

From a bottle. Deep copper colour, more malt than expected with a big biscuit hit before the restrained fruit and pine flavours.

12 oz. bottle, pours a hazy copper orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out cardboard... 5 month old bottling is not impressive. Flavour is dull, with cardboard, toasted crackery malt and dull hops. Lame stuff. Shame on the liquor store (Larry’s in Point Roberts) for selling this old-ass product.

UPDATED: JAN 12, 2017 Schneeweißer Schaum, tolle Kupferfarbe. Aroma: Karamell, Rosinen, Spekulatius. Milder Antrunk, leicht fruchtig. Körper könnte präsenter sein, vielleicht etwas zu zurückhaltend. Tolle, durchgängig präsente Malznote. Abgang überraschend hopfig-bitter. Insgesamt sehr gut!

Avetixz (108) - GERMANY - NOV 2, 2016
Aroma of clean herbal hops, pine, light malt and light citrus. Pours clear amber liquid with almost no head. Medium-high bitterness and medium sweetness with a dominating hop profile, herbal, pine, little earthy and some tropical fruits and citrus notes as well. Fairly pronounced malt character for an APA with some earthy, honey and caramel notes, as well as a hint of cocoa and roasting flavour in the finish. Light body with a creamy texture, soft carbonation and a bitter, toasty finish. Nice balance between bitter, fruity and caramelly flavour notes.

355ml bottle into pint glass. Cloudy golden bronze beer with thin lasting head. Fine steady carbonation. Laces well. Distant malt nose. Good body, smooth mouthfeel. Taste is surprisingly malty for an APA, the hops kick in later but are still subdued. Nice beer, tastes like a fruity caramel.
