COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fire Rock Pale Ale is a crisp, refreshing Hawaiian-style pale ale. Its signature copper color results from the unique blend of specialty roasted malts. The pronounced citrus-floral hop aroma comes from the liberal amounts of Galena, Cascade & Mt. Hood hops added to each brew.

[Bottle] Pours a light amber color with some haze. Moderately hoppy aroma with amber malts in there as well. Some sweet bready and caramel notes in the flavor. Moderately hoppy finish with a lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Doesnt taste like a straightforward APA, which made it a bit more interesting to me than it otherwise would have been.

Brught malty citrus hopped aroma. Dark copper, small head. Caramel honey, hoppy flavors. Citrus hop flavors dominate the malt. Medium body. Overall not bad. Balanced towards the hops, but flavors dont come together as well as I would like. Drinkable.

A: A fairly clear orange/amber color with almost no head and no lacing. S: Very citrus forward, mostly orange. Caramel malt in the background. T: Fairly sweet, citrus, not really too much bitterness until a bit on the finish. M: Light-medium body with very little carbonation. D: Not an outstanding beer, but its an easy drinking beer that you could have a few of.

Amber body with a paper thin, yet resilient head. Nice floral hop aroma drifts easily into a smooth pale ale body with only hints of hops and malt. Medium-bodied.

Draft @ firewaters ac. Amber pour with some light tan head. Guess draft can still be pretty fresh. Floral, and citurs hop dominated beer, with some slight malt back round.

Bottle [12oz] shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- c/o HogTownHarry. Pours a cloudy orange-amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of light hops and caramel malt. Flavours the same, light hops and caramel malt. Sweet and grainy as well. Light bitter finish. Light bodied. This is pretty mediocre stuff and is not on style at all to me. Meh.

12 ounce bottle, a buddy brought some island brews back for me on a recent trip to Hawaii. Served in a Sam Adams BL glass, the beer pours an orange/amber color with about a half inch off-white head. Head retention is decent, lacing is good. Aroma is citrusy hops (orange), caramel malt and a bit of floral hops too. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of a bit of peppery spice. The hops are the strongest flavor in this brew, but theyre not overpowering. Mouthfeel/body is medium, its a bit coating and has moderate carbonation. Drinkability is good, its enjoyable to drink. I think its a good balanced beer, not a bad choice as an occasional session brew.
