COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fire Rock Pale Ale is a crisp, refreshing “Hawaiian-style” pale ale. Its signature copper color results from the unique blend of specialty roasted malts. The pronounced citrus-floral hop aroma comes from the liberal amounts of Galena, Cascade & Mt. Hood hops added to each brew.

Amber color with little to no head. Aroma is vague, slight notes of pine hops. Flavor is a little light hops and mildly nutty. A little thin and watery though, could be helped by a bit more malt to round it out. Drinkable, but there’s much better pale ales out there.

Color arancio con riflessi rossastri. Schiuma presente e fine. Appena stappata odori agrumati che svaniscono subito. Al gusto prevale l’amaro con persistenza media.

Quite clean amber color, with a small creamy head, a bit lacing. The aroma has mild notes of hops, and caramel. Taste is malty, caramel, not too much dry, with a good bitterness, well balanced to be easily enjoyed. Light body, medium carbonation. Cold this beer is a very good thirst quencher, perfect for a hot summer day.

Bottle. Lost of varying hop flavor. There black pepper, pine, grass, some citrus/grapefruit. Some malt in the back to almost balance it. Decent pale ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. A: Cloudy copper with off-white head. Light lacing. N: Peppercorns, toasted biscuit, pine, grapefruit, grass, straw, coriander. T: Bitter and sweet. Not very clean. M: Medium-light body, soft carbonation, creamy carbonation. O: Meh. There are so many good APAs that this no longer cuts it.

Bottle. Clear amber gold in colour. Medium off-white head. Malty; sweet malts, toasty, caramel / toffee. Citrus fruity, orange. Moderately hoppy. Sweet malty fruity throughout. Quite dry. More bitter into finish. OK. Better than expected. Easy drinking. (2017-05)

355 ml Bottle. Pours with a clear copper color and a small with head. The nose is fruity like mango and passionfruit, malty, fresh hops and something sweet. The taste is quite refreshing, lots of hops and although fruity. Good balanced, medium carbonation.

A pale ale brewed with roasted malts, what a good concept. Folks, I’m not at all sure how this got such an average to all right rating on RB, because this is one unique and refreshing pale ale! Pours a beautiful gold-copper color with a loud healthy off white head that makes a lot of fizz noises. A constant flow of tiny bubbles rise from the bottom of my glass even as the head fades leaving traces of lacing on the glass. Has a fantastic bouquet of hop and malt. Outstanding, refreshing taste of a hoppy pale ale slathered in malt with just enough bitterness. Very good! Overall, Fire Rock is an outstanding beer that goes down easy! I’d say its one of Kona Brewing’s best brews. Outstanding work Kona!
