3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured 12oz bottle into snifter an amber colored pale ale. Not much head. Aroma is biscuity / malty. Medium carb. Taste is a hint of caramel and malt but then some hops on the back end with bitter finish. Seems more like an amber / Scottish than an APA but I still dig it.

"Super Strandbier"

This pours a clear gold with a 1 finger head of foam. Good head retention and a little bit of lacing.
The smell is a mix of grassy hops and sweet malt.
The taste starts of with some caramel malt and it turns toward a bitterness from the hops but I'm not getting anything really flavourful from the hops; I think they are there just to add the bitterness and try to balance the malt.
To be fair, I popped the cap on this bottle while it was still iced cold from the liquor store. I'm going to let it warm up some and continue from there.
Well, after letting it warm up, nothing much has changed. I'd call this one a good entry level Pale Ale but, at least for me, it doesn't have the flavours that I look for in the style.
