Fire Rock Pale Ale is a crisp, refreshing Hawaiian-style pale ale. Its signature copper color results from the unique blend of specialty roasted malts. The pronounced citrus-floral hop aroma comes from the liberal amounts of Galena, Cascade & Mt. Hood hops added to each brew.

Comparing it to other reviews, mine must be skewed high since I just got off work and have a hot slice of pizza in hand. Either way, it goes well with the couch and pizza.

A pale ale brewed with roasted malts, what a good concept. Folks, Im not at all sure how this got such an average to all right rating on RB, because this is one unique and refreshing pale ale! Pours a beautiful gold-copper color with a loud healthy off white head that makes a lot of fizz noises. A constant flow of tiny bubbles rise from the bottom of my glass even as the head fades leaving traces of lacing on the glass. Has a fantastic bouquet of hop and malt. Outstanding, refreshing taste of a hoppy pale ale slathered in malt with just enough bitterness. Very good! Overall, Fire Rock is an outstanding beer that goes down easy! Id say its one of Kona Brewings best brews. Outstanding work Kona!

355ml bottle. Pours clear golden amber colour with a frothy white head. Aroma: mild hop and malt notes, floral, citrus. Taste: same as the aroma, mild citrussy floral hops with a pleasant malty base, mildly bitter. Light-medium bodied but feels very restrained, lacking character, tempted to class this as a golden ale. Still, its inoffensive and easy drinking.
