Bottle pours brown with thin head. Aroma of toasted coconut, slight sun tan oil, roasted grain and sweet malt. Flavor is surprisingly smooth with toffee, some nutty notes, roasted grain and a good dose of toasted coconut. Palate is mildly sweet with a little grainy bitterness and some creaminess coming off the coconut. Overall, Im not usually a fan of flavored beers but this one was pleasant to drink, coconut flavor was not too dominant. I would drink more.

Dark amber/brown color; Light to medium creamy body; Aroma of malt, coconuts, & some chocolate; Flavor of slight roasted malt, caramel, light coconuts, and some chocolate; Overall, smells like a macaroon - but slightly watery taste.

Sweet malty aroma. Dark amber copper off draft. Mouthfeel is substantially lower body than expected. Only light to medium body. Sweetness from the coconut without being incredibly identifiable.

At the brewing company and this is one of the samplers I chose smell of toffee. Colors dark with caramel tint. Taste toffee and fruit. Very rich and delightful

Bottle. Pours a clear light brown body with a bit of a ruby hue when held to the light under a small fizzy off-white head. The nose is lightly nutty and sweet with just a light hint of suntan oil. The flavor is almost ok at first, slightly nutty with just a little sweetness, but then the finish comes on and it reminds me of Banana Boat Tanning Accelerator. A little too heavy with coconut flavoring. Ive had a couple really good coconut beers, and all of them used real toasted coconut. This is clearly not the case with this beer. Light to medium bodied with fizzy prickly carbonation. Not so enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours with a very lightly hazed deep brown body with a medium sized tan head. Aromas are tropical, coconut, toasted coconut, pina coladas, caramel, toast, macaroons, floral, fragrant. Aloha. Flavors show a very mild coconut acidity, lots of toasted coconuts with a lot of richness, floral, toasted, medium sweet. Tastes a bit like the beginning of Indra Kunindra without the spice. Brown sugar. Sweet but fresh coconut taste. Medium bodied. Surprisingly good.

Pours lightly hazed brown with small off-white to tab head. Aromas of coconut, chocolate, bit of vanilla, and some lightly roasted malts. Flavors of chocolate, sweet coconut, light vanilla, and nice caramel malt finish. Body and carbonatin appropriate for style. Nice sweet brown, which is the way I prefer them. Nice brew. -Fish!

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2012 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an orange-brown color with a small sudsy tan head that faded quickly and left minimal lacing. The aroma was mixed nuts, toasty malts and a hint of wood. The flavor was somewhat bitter and nutty with notes of caramel, sandalwood and tobacco. The finish was short and bitter with nut and caramel notes. Medium body. Ok.

The coconut does not hide in this beer! Right from the start you get an aroma of fresh, just cracked open coconut, *not* shredded or toasted coconut. Then you get the totasted coconut along with more of the fresh coconut in the taste. The great thing here is its not overpowering or artificial tasting, its just good, fresh, clean coconut. On top of this, its an absolutely beautiful crystal clear deep amber/copper/brown color with a witha long lasting off-white head (Id like to give it a "6" for appearance). The roasted malt flavor balances perfectly with the coconut sweetness and nuttiness. There are some citrusy flavors here that are probably hops, but the overall effect is sweet and coconuty. Finishes with (of course) coconut, brown sugar and a bit of woody dryness. As delicious as this beer is, its one of those styles thats great for a glass, but I probably wouldnt drink 3 or 4 of these in one sitting. No matter, this is an awesome, unique beer.
