This beer was a surprise.. Perfect infusion of coconut in this brown. The richness of the coconut really compliments what could be a good stand alone brown. Nice work. chickenflea (351) - Oviedo, Florida, USA - JUN 1, 2012
Bottle @ home. I bought this on a whim. It sounded interesting. The beer looks like a brown should. The aroma was wonderful, like chocolate milk and coconut. Toasted coconut is front and center in the flavor. There’s also a nice hazelnutty, chocolate, caramel malty, and light toffee flavor. A touch watery but overall a great beer. I have now been pleasantly surprised by Kona twice now. Good job, Kona. eboats (1115) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - MAY 31, 2012
Delicious sweet brown hazelnut aroma with some milk chocolate. Lightly bitter with medium sweetness. High quality brown ale here. jbruner (5471) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - MAY 30, 2012
Pours a clear brown with lovely dark tan head on draft. Aroma of roasted malts, slight coconut sweet note on the end. Taste pretty much follows suit, but more coconut. Well balanced and not overpowering on the sweet. Great brown ale. Leafs93 (2343) - Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 28, 2012
Pours brown with a cocoa colored head. Aroma is roasty, coconut and some chocolate. Light mouth feel made this very easy to drink. Tasted sweet with the coconut coming through lightly

A very good coconut beer! Beautiful maroon color with a tan head. Smells of coconut and buttery cream. Tastes like toasted coconut, but not overpowering. Finishes with more coconut and slight coffee taste. Better then the Maui brewing coconut porter. (Although that is tasty as well). Had in the bottle.

This beer has an awesome nutty flavour to it that I just can’t get out of my head. Sure I was on holiday and had had a few before this, but definitely one of the best beers I’ve had. Reminds me a bit of Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar. trevor211 (1681) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 26, 2012
Really not much going on here. It’s a bit dilute - something like a rum and coke where the soda machine ran out of syrup and the barkeep went light on the rum. Meh. TheHopster (1111) - Netcong, New Jersey, USA - MAY 26, 2012
(bottle). Not very aromatic but this thin brown ale is big on flavor. Very unique. The toasted cocoanut clearly comes through. A lot of fun and nice change from the standards. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone MaBeer1972 (2208) - Reno, Nevada, USA - MAY 25, 2012
I got this bottle for my wife -who has been on a brown ale streak lately. I am not a fan of anything coconut - except for magic bars and carrot cake. The aroma of this one is icky and very much coconut. Flavor is mild brown with lots of coconut flavor. Somewhat too sweet. Finish is a mild brown malt though. Just alright - not something I’d get again.
