12 oz bottle thanks to Jimmie. Poured a clear dark chestnut brown with a large full foamy super light beige head. Aroma is seems buttery at first but with a slower more directed sniff it seems its just the combination of toasted coconut, caramel, chocolate malt combo along with some orange juice notes from the hops. Meh, this combo seems good in theory but overall its not working that well for me. Fuller bodied with average to slightly strong carbonation which actually tingles your throat and leaves an average duration on the aftertaste. The flavor works better than the aroma on this one. Notes of toasted coconut, dry medium brown toast, light milk chocolate, slight orange and citrus rind along with an aftertaste of chocolate milk. Not bad but wish the aroma was better. Not bad though.

Draft at las ramblas with Linh. Pours a hazy amber brown body with thin light brown lacing. Aroma is sweet nutty malts, spice, and raisin bread. Mouthfeel is medium to thin with notes of cinnamon, sweet nuts, bready malts and spice.

From a pint glass at the brewpub. Pours a medium brown with a slight bit of head and lacing. Nice fresh and floral aroma, very nutty. Mouthfeel is very, very light. Almost like a lager... a little too light for me, i'd like to have a little more body to this one. Taste is very sweet. Definitely the toasted coconut they use in it, you can spot it a mile away. However, that's all the flavor this beer has. It's pretty one dimensional. Glad I tried it but wouldn't want another. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle from Safeway Salinas. Nose is toasted coconut (kind of like a mounds bar smell without the chocolate) and a coconut milk note in the background, the brown malts being pretty much covered up. Clear cherrywood brown with a medium offwhite head. Flavor is coconut, a little chocolate note, some caramel, and a little background bitterness.

Pours a thin brown with a touch of off white head. Nose and taste are a bit generic brown ale with a touch of coconut when cold. As the beer warms the coconut becomes a bit overbearing... Not a big fan of coconut so take take the review with a grain of salt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Decent aroma and flavor with the coconut addition. Definitely something I would look for again.

Bottle as shown. Pours a dark amber with a small creamy beige head leaves sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is roasted malt and chocolate and oak. Thin mouthfeel with a rich malt and chocolate with a nice light smoke dry finish. Easy to drink, a very good brown ale from Kona.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2012 Draft. Pours Amber without head but a little lace at the to of the glass. Aroma is minimal but had some nuts and roast. Taste is nutty with some cocoa and coconut. Different.. and the coconut may make this a one and done for me.

Bottle from the 76 Station in Davis, CA. Poured a dark brown color and smelled of roasted malt. I could definately taste a little bit of coconut. There was a plethora of roastiness to it. Not bad and an easy drinker.

12oz bottle in a lager glass. Pours brown with a light tan head. Aroma of toasted coconut, caramel and some light chocolate malts, and hints of citrusy hops. Flavor of coconut works well with a brown ale. Average texture. An interesting beer.
